Our home has breath taking ocean views from the living room & Kitchen area and is located directly on the beach of Capitola Village in the famous Venetian Apartments. In this quaint Mediterranean style beachfront home, every room has been recently remodeled with all new appliances and granite kitchen counter tops. Accommodations sleep five comfortably with a full bath. Also featured is a 37'' flat screen monitor for evening entertainment. Wake up in the morning and watch the sunrise while you enjoy your morning coffee or tea. Step out the door on to the sand and take a jog or simply stroll along the beach while looking out at the world reknowned Monterey Bay. You can also take a walk along the Capitola Wharf and get a bite to eat at the Wharf House Restaurant. If you feel up to it, you can rent a boat or kayak and enjoy the waters of the Bay or try your hand at surfing. Cute place. Cute decor… but could really use some comfortable living room furniture and better beds. The beds were a queen size bed frame with a double mattress. Resulted in frame sticking out much further than the mattress; just an accident waiting to happen. Second bed is a day bed, twin size. Fouton in the living room is full size, but no sheets or bedding provided. There is no way this place could sleep 5 average sized adults!! Sink and bathtub in bathroom need replacing. Extremely stained. But… love the location. Could see the beach and hear the ocean up close and personal. For the price, the place should have been top notch, but it just isn’t! Will not be staying here again.

I would just like to say the upstairs suite my girlfriend n I stayed in was way more then I expected!! It was absolutely beautiful, fantastic view of the beach, very nicely decorated, very comfortable, had everything you need for a beautiful stay at the beach. Also having a parking pass was a nice bonus for feee parking for our stay. Thank you so much for making my 60th Birthday absolutely amazing n special!! Highly recommend!! Thanks again!!

We were very thankful that Robert was able to put us in a different condo after the storm hit the reserved place and flooded it. We had a wonderful weekend and the view was amazing! Capitola is rebuilding and every business we went into was very appreciated. I can not wait to go back!

The main bedroom was very small with a double bed & twin bed. We as adults didn’t think it would be comfortable to sleep on the double bed so we chose the pullout couch. We had our 9 year old granddaughter and her friend with us. It was horrible. I was on the phone with the owner’s son for 2 hours trying to get the TV (cable box) to work, even went upstairs to his parents unit and got their cable box. I finally said I couldn’t do anymore. The place needs a definite update with furniture. Kitchen was fine. Toilet paper was so thin you had to use 1/4 of a roll. The next morning called to say we were leaving. Didn’t want to spend more time on the TV or have a horrible night trying to sleep.

Was disappointed the light in the kitchen is full of bugs. No coffee. That’s always included even in cheap hotels. Most coffee pots have pods nowadays so buying coffee for a few days would be a waste of money. No parking. No screens on the windows to open them for fresh air. Location was the best part. Location, location, location.

This place is all about the location! We rented this place for my parents who are elderly and my mom is disabled and would not be able to walk thru the sand. With this place your front porch is the beach!. My parents spent the whole time sitting in front of the wall and were able to have the ocean experience, and that was what we wanted. The inside of the house is a little outdated and was not stocked very well but you can't beat the location. We will be back!!

Great location. The one bedroom has one full size bed and one twin bed. Both are old and not comfortable at all. Also not ideal for a couples get away. We had to sleep in different beds. If the owners would put two Queen quality beds in this unit it would be amazing.
The place smells bad of mildew and isn’t very clean.
We enjoyed the location. There are 6 plastic chairs that we could use for the beach. That was a huge plus. Overall the location is what we paid for. The location outweighed the lack of comfort.

Apartment was clean and cute. You can’t beat the location and view. We enjoyed walking the beach and playing dice out front. The locals were very friendly and people watching was amusing. We would definitely rent this apartment again.
With the exception of the bedroom, the apartment is updated and nice. My only suggestions would be, new bedding, pillows and even a mattress for the bedroom. The comforter, sheets, and pillows are old, worn, scratchy and musty smelling. There’s also a smell of cigarette smoke in this room. I’m wondering if it’s coming from a neighbor as I only smelled it off and on. The couch pillows also need to be replaced or deep cleaned. Also, I could only find one pan and the only spatulas are for outdoor bbqing. With that being said the place is good but could be great with just a few little details being addressed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent. You can see the ocean and beach from the kitchen table. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the beach and ocean. The host was great at communicating with us and answering questions. We had 5 adults and with the sofa bed all able to have a place to sleep.

We decided to stay here for our daughters 15th birthday. Was hoping her and friends would enjoy hanging out and shopping alone. So they could feel a little more independent.
It worked they shopped . They play on the beach. Fell asleep to the ocean and woke to the ocean sounds.
What a GREAT experience.

Good location, lots of people loitering, and inside was tired and a bit dank smelling, especially for the very high rate. We could have been just as well with an off beach location for the price. There are two beds in one small room and expected a bit of a different set up per “sleeps 5 description”. I suppose it is accurate but misleading as I have been to Capitola before and thought we would get access to the upstairs as well as pictured. I put up my husband’s friends visiting for the weekend from the UK and honestly, I was a bit embarrassed—thought it would be more quaint and nicer.

It was one of our best vacations! The location to the beach made it easy for the adults to sit outside and relax while the kids played in the sand. It really was the best and the owner was extremely nice and accommodating. The house has beach chairs and outdoor table and chairs.

The unit was as described - beautiful view and steps to the sand. We were provided a parking pass to park anywhere in metered spots which is great...finding those spots Saturday - Tuesday was quite the time consuming challenge, not entirely unexpected. Would have been lovely if the windows opened, but we understood why they did not. Overall a lovely stay in a nice and roomy unit. Host was friendly and responsive to our questions.

We had an excellent experience from pre-arrival greetings from Robert through our departure on 5/24/21. The apartment was perfect with the most amazing views of the bay and wharf, the sound of crashing waves all night and location on the beach and in the middle of so much to do. The full kitchen was clean, had new appliances and kitchen well stocked with supplies to support a long or short stay. The bed was comfortable and plenty of room in the large living room. Perfect room in the perfect location!

Really wonderful place if you are up for a right on the beach experience. Its a public beach also so you'll be around a lot of people in from of your place taking pictures of this iconic building. Its busy. But that is part of the really cool experience.

This is a fabulous place to stay and right on the beach as described! We had a blast with all there is to do in Capitola. My sons even rented a fishing boat from the pier. We ate out, ate in, shopped, and lazied on the beach. We stayed 3 nights in a very clean, comfortable, and convenient place. Would stay again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay at Robert’s property. The location and view is fantastic. Lots of patio space to sit outside and watch kids on beach and while they played in the ocean. Spacious unit, with fantastic view. Well equipped unit for our week stay. Robert made sure our check in was smooth and that we were all set for our vacation. Awesome unit and awesome week!

My husband and I spent a long weekend here in February. The unit was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Perfect location to enjoy the area. It was easy to walk to various restaurants and get take out. We also walked to Gayle's Bakery & Rosticceria and had several amazing take-home meals. We parked in the lot leading to the wharf. The parking permit is not for a designated spot so we got lucky since there are just a few spots there, but there are other lots nearby that allow permitted parking. There is also a loading zone right at the wharf so it's easy to get everything into and out of the unit. There are patio chairs and a table to use on the front "patio." There are also a few beach chairs in the front closet. Communication with Robert was prompt. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hello,We had some trouble with the faucet ( my husband had to do a fix since water pressure was tricking in kitchen), the dishwasher(didn’t clean the dishes- we tried it twice and then had to pull them out each time and hand wash. We noticed the problem was ongoing because other renters had put plates in and flatware back with heat dried food on them. ), the pull out bed( had a bull-shaped crater in the middle- luckily my son decided not to come so we folded it back to a couch and my daughter just slept on that. Initially, we realized the oven was forgotten in the cleaning with fresh drippings on the bottom that could have been easily wiped away and a foil with a grease pile on the rack. We were left with 1 & 1/4 rolls of toilet paper and 2 garbage liners for a three nights stay which should accommodate 5 people. The owner Robert did have more of those two things sent over. The front door had grime on it and the dining chairs. The bathroom had one of 3 working lights above the sink. The large decorative clock in family room apparently needed a battery NBD, but it’s all part of a lack of maintenance. However, after I told him about the other problems, he didn’t respond. We thought he’d give us a kickback. I have pictures of the things I have told you about. I sent them to him.
