Encantada Guest House is an upscale self catering villa, nestled on the edge of the Jungle and features a very comfortable Queen Bedroom, as well as a spacious well equipped Kitchen, a large Sun Room, and an extra large Bathroom. As our guests, you will enjoy use of the entire home, private pool and our shared Jacuzzi Spa. Although the Guesthouse is Self Catering, we provide a special Starter Breakfast Basket, that may include breakfast basics like: Pancake Mix, Eggs, Costa Rican Coffee, Juice, Fruit and Bread. Enough to get you by for a day or two.

1. A 2x4 or 4x4 SUV or other High Clearance Vehicle is Strongly Recommended for exploring Costa Rica and the Arenal Area. The road to El Castillo is paved but rough road conditions may exist. The little cow path to Encantada, that we lovingly call a road, is rustic, but easily passable in a regular car due recent improvements.
2. As a courtesy to Future Guests who might be allergic, the pets are not allowed to enter the house. Please feel free to enjoy their company Outside as much as you'd like.
3. The house is Self Catering, but we do provide a Welcome Breakfast basket, filled with lots of goodies to help you out for a day or two.

Not sure where to begin. This property was absolutely gorgeous had everything and more that we could possibly need inside. The outside of the property was very special with their own walking trail down to a beautiful stream. Plant life was very nice. The host were very gracious and responded and we're extremely helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. If we come back to the area we will definitely stay at this location again. It's very accessible to many restaurants, Hot Springs the volcano and the town of La Fortuna!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Although Marty and Nita were on vacation during our stay they were always responsive as was their care taker. The guest house was clean and had everything we needed. We were given a basket of breakfast items which was a big plus! We only used the pool once but it was clean and refreshing. We were greeting occasionally by their dogs which were very well behaved. A few mornings we awoke to howler monkeys and heard the occasional toucan. I would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Encantada Guest House. The communication prior to arrival was helpful, with many practical tips for our vacation in Costa Rica. The location of the guest house is wonderful for doing things in the area, it is very close to both Lake Arenal and Arenal volcano and you can see both from the road next to the house. It is a peaceful spot. We did many activities in the area and enjoyed walks in the morning to see the birds and views. We enjoyed our coffee on the patio while watching howler monkeys and toucans. Overall it was a great start to our vacation. Nita and Marty provide a nice starter basket of food, including bread products, coffee and eggs which was thoughtful.

We loved our stay at the Encantada Guesthouse. There is no way to describe how beautiful the grounds are on the property. The house was spotless. Nita and Marty gave us 6 pages of helpful hints for traveling to the area to prepare us for the trip. That information alone was priceless. We loved every minute at the Guesthouse. We had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay there again if we ever returned to the area. Thank you Nita and Marty for making our stay so memorable! Costa Rica was amazing thank you for sharing your beautiful home and property it was truly amazing!
