The staff was friendly. There was no elevator so the front desk person helped us bring our bags us and check in early. The room was clean but a bit of an older feel. The breakfast was included and it was it was great. I had two over easy eggs with toast and it also came with ham, fresh papaya and pineapple and a piece of cheese as well as fresh juice. There was a station to be able to make your own coffee or tea.
The hotel had a cute living room like waiting area with a nice view of the park and street.
There was no elevator. The toilet seat cover was broken, they only gave us one toilet paper and the remote control did not work to turn the tv on.

The proximity of the Hotel, it was very nearby everywhere i wanted to go, everything was in walking distance. As well the Airport.
Water and Pop was inside the small fridge in my room, when i arrived 4 waters to be exact. i drank them. 3rd day 2 more bottles of water and pop was place in the fridge, After checking out i was told i had to pay for the waters and the pop. That should have been communicated before or upon arrival. That was a bit sneaky. I also wish someone there who was able to speak some sort of English.

The hotel was conveniently located and within easy walking distance of restaurants and local attractions. The staff was able to accommodate our early arrival and late departure, which enhanced the overall experience.
our initial room had a strong mildew odor that was making me feel ill. We also observed peeling paint and visible mildew on the walls. When we brought these issues to the attention of the front desk, it appeared they were already aware of the condition. At our request, we were moved to another room, which was appreciated, but the room should not have been assigned to guests in the first place.
Service was mixed. Some staff members were very friendly and accommodating, while others seemed indifferent and at times ignored us.

The hotel was charming and well decorated. Our duplex room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was freshly made to order. Hotel location is wonderful for getting to know the old town of Cartagena. Staff was very kind.
There was no street noise but a lot of internal noise. The hotel inner courtyard echoes, and with our room opposite reception we could clearly hear hotel guests shouting to each other across the patio, or large groups checking in after 1am or arriving before 8am. We asked the hotel staff if there were any quiet hours at the hotel, or if there was anything they could do, but it seems not. The room safe was not working, but after the batteries were replaced, the safe started beeping in the middle of the night. Hotel pool was closed during half of our stay for cleaning, 1 day initially and then extended. The staff at the hotel did not explain much about the facilities or breakfast, we had to ask or figure it out. Some of the above might be normal for Cartagena, but our stay was not too restful, so I'd probably try a different place next time.
