The apartment is in an excellent location and is within walking distance to the bus stops / transport links for the various day tours to see the beautiful country of Iceland. The apartment is also in amongst the shops, supermarket, restaurants and bars and a few blocks up from the coast which has spectacular views.
The apartment was clean and had everything we required for our 5 night stay. Staff were very friendly and quick to respond to requests (we required more towels).
I would highly recommend this apartment.

Only location
No cleaning was provided during the week, and it was not clearly stated during the booking process that each cleaning would cost €60–€120. So we asked at least for a mop to clean the bathroom because there is no curtain or door
There was also no towel change during our stay.
The apartment was on the third floor with no elevator, which made it very difficult to carry our luggage up and down the stairs.
The view from one side of the apartment was not very pleasant.
The bathroom window was very old, and every time we opened or closed it, we were afraid it might break.
Finally, as our flight was in the late evening, we asked if we could leave our luggage there after check-out. Unfortunately, they could not keep our luggage, which was very inconvenient and upsetting. We had to find a luggage locker ourselves, pay for it, and also pay for taxis to take us there and back.
Considering the price we paid, we would have been better off staying in a hotel, even if it was not located right in the city centre. Reykjavík is a relatively small city, and it is easy to walk around, so being in the downtown area is not essential. Overall, we did not feel that the apartment offered good value for money.
