Situated in Wrightsville Beach, this charming condo for $278 per night is a great option for your next vacation. “Michael” is a magnificent third floor condo that is nestled in the dunes at the secluded northern end of Wrightsville Beach in Duneridge Resort. This ornate condo features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lavish décor and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean from the private ocean front deck! Relax in a chaise lounge by the poolside or play a few matches on the community tennis court. The wide, white sandy beach, accessed by a walkway is one of the most beautiful on the island. The spacious open living and dining area gives way to a galley kitchen that is equipped with a laundry room. Ceiling to floor mirrors on the dining room wall creates a live action mural of the ocean beyond. Just of the great room is the stately primary suite complete with a kind sized bed. The bed frame is carved wood with marble inlay detail. Truly a bed fit for a king! The primary suite also offers a private bathroom with a shower tub combo, flat screen television, and sweeping ocean views. Near the entry door you will find two guest rooms and a full bathroom located in the hallway that services these two rooms. The first guest room offers a king-sized bed, while the other guest room provides versatility by providing two full sized beds. Take a stroll along the water’s edge to Mason’s Inlet to the north where exclusive Figure Eight Island is a stone’s throw away. Occupancy: 8: Stay Restrictions: Sunday to Sunday rental in Summer. Minimum of two-night stay in other seasons. Bedding Recap: 2 King, 2 Full. Parking: Two reserved parking spaces are available under the building. Prohibited: Smoking, Pets, RV's, Boats, Boat Trailers, Trailers, Mail or Packages being sent to the rental. Featured Amenities: Outdoor Shower, Covered Parking, Community Pool, Elevator, Secure Lobby, Tennis Court, Ocean Front. *Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. The Duneridge complex requires all vehicles to display an HOA issued parking pass while parked on the property in order to avoid citation. Passes are strictly enforced and limited to two per rental unit; no exceptions can be made. All reservations that take place between May and September will require parking passes and which will be issued to the reservation holder at the time of check in. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The view is wonderful (can watch the sun and full moon rise over the water!) and the porch is fantastic. However, there are some needed updates. When we tried to do a load of laundry, our clothes came out covered in sand every time (and we didn't put the sand in there) and there were even rust stains from the rusted washer drum so the washing machine really needs replacing. Also, the shower doors had disgusting black mold all around the bottom seams and behind the handles. So the shower doors also need replacing. Everything else was great and if those two things were updated we would stay there again.

When we first arrived the shower knob in the master bathroom was sitting on the sink. We immediately called and reported the issue. A technician arrived a few hours later and replaced the shower knob. Also we were aware we needed paper towels and other paper products. However we were surprised the bathrooms only had a half of a roll in each. With 8 women, we easily ran out the first day. We just assumed housekeeping would ensure there was a new roll in each bathroom. (The kitchen had paper towels and cleaning products which was great)
The bathrooms should be deep cleaned. There is a lot of mold in both bathrooms especially in the tub/shower and on the shower doors. The sink in master bathroom has a lot of dirt and grime in and around it. The carpet is in dire need of a cleaning. There are stains and spots all over. The balcony furniture is extremely outdated and falling apart. The pictures of the balcony furniture is not a true depiction of what is in the unit. There are two chairs at the table and one lounger. The cushions are very old and dirty. I remember reading a review last year and someone mentioned the same thing about the balcony furniture. Overall the condo is very nice, the appliances worked, the linens were clean and the tv worked. I feel with a good deep clean and updated balcony furniture this unit would definitely be a 5 star. Great location, rental company was great, everything worked as promised with lock combinations, parking passes etc. This is the second time we have rented this property and were only disappointed in a couple things. Out door furniture is in bad shape and missing half of what is shown in the photo for the property and we found a few greasy pots and pans that were in need of being replaced.

Slats were missing from the blinds in the master bedroom, so we had to improvise by hanging a sheet so we wouldn't wake up too early.

Hard to be succinct with all the things I need to comment on, but the condensed version is: "vacationer beware". We stayed in the Michael unit in August 2021 and during on ongoing pandemic, we'd expect the unit to have been cleaner. Our bathroom had sand and dirt in the shower upon arrival, there were toothpaste and water spots on/in the bathroom sink and countertop and mirror in the master bath. The bath mats appeared to be years old. The linens for the bed (though delivered in plastic wrap by an external vendor) were worn and stained, but smelled heavily of bleach. The water supply to this unit STINKS of rotten eggs. We had to wash our clothes when we got home about 3 cycles to get the smell out. The washer/dryer in the unit didn't help with that issue. The kitchen was poorly stocked and lacking in basic quality utensils and wares needed to cook. We literally had to go to Harris Teeter and buy a new skillet, for example. The utensils are useless and in poor shape. The steak knives were bent on the tips. The plastic whisk wouldn't even beat an egg - very frustrating. Upon arrival, the instructions are lacking in exactly how to access your unit; same for pool and beach access. We had to ask other residents. I will say that while every measure is taken to ensure security (in terms of access codes, etc.) it is overkill. You need a different code for every foyer/entry, beach access, gate, etc. It was not clear where the dumpster was initially, or how to dispose of trash/recycling. Last but certainly not least, PLEASE update this unit! The aesthetic is really a mood killer at the beach with the dark, heavy and oversized furniture circa 1992. When it rains all week and you have to stare at it, it's just depressing. And plastic on the dining room chairs? Come on. You can see from the pics online that it is outdated, but you assume clean, at least. This time, old actually meant old and dirty. Very disappointing to pay $3600 a week for this place.

The Michael Condo was very nice. I stayed there with four other adults. There was more than enough room. We cooked several times, there were enough kitchen items to meet our cooking needs. Easy access to the Beach and Pool. For the pool, get off on the first floor. We live in Florida where ceiling fans are normal, no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We had to adjust the Air down to accommodate. I also must have missed there would be no beach towels. Bring beach towels. You may want to consider keeping some board games there for rainy days.

This property should not be on the rental market until it gets some much needed attention. Blinds are falling off the windows, broken chairs, dirty upholstery, worn out cushions and all very outdated. The rental company service was not good either. Gave us a wrong door code and no code for one door. Told us we had to come to the office to get parking passes but didn’t need them this time of year. The views and location are great but would not rent again.

As for this unit, it was located in bldg 2 on the 3rd floor. The updated keypad (no physical key) was nice and easy to use. The rest of the unit was disappointing. Did everything work? Yes. But this place has not been updated in years, maybe since original owners. The kitchen is outdated and equipped with only the basic needs. The furniture throughout the unit is massive (too big/dark for the space), the lighting is old/dim, the beds creak and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are also original, with peeling wallpaper and stained sinks. The deck furniture and cushions was broken, sagging and dirty. We didn’t come to WB to stay inside, so while we disliked the decor (personal preference), we didn’t let it ruin our trip. Overall, we love WB, the access/views available at Duneridge, but would not rent this unit again unless it was the only option.

This property should not be on the rental market until it gets some much needed attention. DO NOT STAY HERE
ThIs property is disgraceful. It should not be on the market as a summer rentable unit. It’s dirty and dated beyond belief. Torn window blinds, mattresses and linens and furnishings that must be at least 25 years old. Dirty walls, carpeting, and furnishings. This unit and everything about it is just disgraceful. Bryant Real Estate Agency who represents the owner will not do anything to try and make your stay better. The complaints from other vacationers about the unit still hold true. The unit smells fowl and I would never stay here again or have any dealings with Bryant Real Estate. There are other rental agencies such as Seascape which are much better. I wish I could post pictures. There is rust on the shower doors, cracks in the tile floors, moldings that are filthy and all chipped. The furnishings are so old that when you sit on them you feel like you’re sitting in the floor. The a/c intake is all rusted. The outdoor patio furniture is dirty and awful. The unit needs to be entirely gutted and renovated. I would recommend Wrightsville Dunes next door. A much more beautiful facility. Our other family members stayed there. Beautifully maintained. They received nice welcoming packages from their host. All we received were very old nasty linens and awful old bath towels.

I honestly did not have high expectations when I booked Michael last minute. It was only one of four properties left for Memorial Day Weekend in Wrightsville. But, Michael is a great little condo...yes, the furniture is dated and the kitchen and bathrooms definitely need updating, but it was fine for a quick last minute long weekend getaway. It was clean and comfortable and truly how much time do you spend in the condo when you are at the beach. The views from the condo and balcony are beautiful and the balcony furniture is comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in Michael.

Stayed in Duneridge Michael unit: 3rd floor oceanfront. Views of the sunrise are spectacular. You can also go out onto the front entryway area and watch the sunset over the Sound. Positives: Covered balcony a DEFINITE plus: we have stayed in the adjacent property multiple times in the past and they did not have this. Master suite bed very comfy. LOTS of extra blankets if needed. Fold-up chairs available: we used these to sit out in the front and watch the sunset. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for cooking: we cook in more than we eat out and we had no issues: really great! Negatives: Two of the chairs on the deck need to be replaced: one totally unusable and one close to that. Didn't affect us as we were only two people, but if 4 people had stayed there it would have been an issue. Galley kitchen narrow and not conducive for more than one person working at the same time. Lights in the main kitchen area and in both of the bathrooms were fluorescent and hummed a lot. Annoying. We visited in October, so we did not take advantage of the pool, but just want to mention that The pool area is wonderful: chairs/tables with umbrellas. Large pool.

Great place!
We loved this location, and the view of the Ocean. The pool was great, the place was clean. We stayed less than five days and it was a little inconvenient having to bring our own linens and towels and/or pay for them. Also there are no clear instructions on how to access the beach (have to go through the pool) it was confusing and we had to ask someone. Other than that the place was beautiful, however a few things like others said need fixing or replacement (bathroom shower door in master bedroom, and blinds in master bedroom).

Keyless lock on the unit has pros and cons; not having to take a key to the beach is nice but not having a physical key prevents entry to the pool from parking lot and, worse, prevents bathroom entrance at the pool. Eager to hear your fix.

It was our second time staying at Michael. Although it is a bit dated, it has everything needed for a comfortable vacation. The only things I would recommend is for the refrigerator to be cleaned better upon arrival and a broom and dustpan to keep up with sand that gets tracked in. I would definitely recommend Michael for a beautiful view and comfortable stay.
