The Caspe apartment offers a wealth of opportunities in the Mediterranean capital. The apartment is located in the historic Eixample Dreta area, with modernist façades, terrace cafés and grand avenues leading to Gaudí’s famous Sagrada Familia cathedral or down to the Arc de Triomf and Barcelona’s beautiful city park. Fabulous location near public transportaton, restaurants, groceries, etc. Apartment was well set up for all of our needs and felt clean and well cared for. Cooked breakfasts and a few dinners and found everything we needed. Nice to have a washer too.
Chelo was very helpful before our visit and when greeting us. She was prompt and went to great length to ensure we knew about holiday closures, where to access groceries, how to take public transportation and even called a cab for us the day we departed, as well as provided a map and hilighted some sights upon our arrival.
Only thing that could have been improved was shower needs new caulk (a bit moldy at this point and beyond cleaning). I pointed this out, so hopefully it will be addressed in the future. Didn't get in the way of having a great stay and we would return.
Highly recommend this apartment, the owner and Barcelona.

The location was great. We were able to walk to most places. A lot of good restaurants nearby. Close to the train. Chelo was a great host. She responded immediately to my questions.

This spacious, super clean two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine, was ideally situated in a safe, quiet residential area. It has lots of closet space and hangers. The bathroom is modern with a great shower. There are many restaurants, shops, supermarkets located within blocks of the apartment. Conveniently located a five minute walk away was the Tetuan Metro station. The building is very secure. Chelo met us upon arrival and demonstrated everything about the apartment and gave us lots of information about local restaurants and a local supermarket that has everything you could need. She made herself available at any time if problems arose but we encountered no issues at all. She even went so far as to insure that a taxi was available at the time of our checkout. We can't say enough good things about the apartment or Chelo.

There is reason why all the reviewers cite Chelo so highly in their comments, she absolutely is a great hostess. The apartment is really well located to everything we wanted to see. Quiet family friendly building and very secure. Had a few interactions with other tenants' all very pleasant. I'm sure we stuck out as not local, but we were treated just the same as if we belonged. Elevators were a nice option, we opted for the stairs most days. We cooked a couple of times during our stay and found everything needed to make a home cooked meal. We certainly would stay here again, the charm of this neighborhood flat and its wonderful hostess will remain in our fond memories of Barcelona. Thank You for having us!

We loved the apartment. There was a pleasant breeze coming through the windows most days. AC was also available. It was exceptionally quiet. The neighborhood was more relaxed than Plaza Catalonia ( a 15 minute walk where the hop on/off buses are) with many nice sidewalk cafes. You can also walk to Sagrada Familia and the Arc de Triumph. Chello was very helpful and easy to keep in touch with.

This is a great apartment as it’s newer and in a vibrant local neighborhood not in a tourist area. However, it’s only a 15 to 20 minute walk to a bunch of the major attractions in Barcelona. What’s more it’s four stories up from the street level and looks into the courtyard so very quiet given the city location.

Chelo is an excellent host! She is very attentive and informative. The apartment building is safe and very quiet which was nice after being around the hustle and bustle of a big city. Everything was clean and when we reached out to Chelo with questions she quickly responded. We look forward to our next visit and would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Chelo’s apartment for 5 night. You cannot beat the location of her apartment, We were within walking distance of everything and if you don’t feel like walking there are 2 metro stations close by. There are lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood as well as coffee shops and markets. We both work virtually and the apartment worked well for us because it has a lot of space. The apartment is well equipped with all the amenities you could need.
Chelo was great at communicating before our arrival, she also greeted us upon our arrival, explained everything about the apartment to us, gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants and markets etc. chelo allowed us to stay late on our departure date and even arranged a taxi to the airport for us.

It was excellent from beginning to end. The space was well equipped. The apartment was very well located. Walking distance to most sites was 15 - 20 min. Chelo was prompt, informative, helpful and a great host. We enjoyed our time there immensely.

My 17 year old daughter and I stayed here for 6 days. It was a fabulous location. Close to restaurants, markets, sites and a metro station. Chelo was very helpful at assisting us with everything we needed. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. We would stay here again.

Hola! Please don’t second guess this booking! Honestly. The location is perfect and everything you need to get to is within a 15-20 minute walk away. Perfect location. Quiet and quaint place of residence. We enjoyed our stay very much. To add to the great stay is the host. Chelo is absolutely amazing and took such good care of us. We were stuck in Madrid and could not get a taxi to the train station. In a panic we called Chelo (we knew we could trust her) and she helped us within minutes order a taxi and get where we needed to get. When we asked if we could pay her for helping us, she stated “This is part of my job, to help guests.” This was days after our stay with her. She was a life saver and such a beautiful soul. We could not be more grateful for our stay and for our amazing host. Highly recommend. Chelo will always make sure you are taken care of!

This 3rd floor apartment is walking distance to the Gothic Quarter and there’s a Metro station just one block from the front door. You don’t need a taxi or rent car; you can walk or take the Metro everywhere you want to go (we even took the Metro to/from the airport - it was easy!)
Not being right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter meant quiet nights - and I mean quiet! We slept with the sliders open every night for the breeze and it was perfect - no loud noises to keep us awake. I was traveling as a single mom with my 17 and 20 year old kids, and felt perfectly safe the whole stay.
The photos of the place are accurate, and the hair dryer was a nice touch!
Chelo was a dream host as she kept me informed of the rental process the whole way through - and even researched some restaurants for me that would be open on Christmas Day. She also met us in person at check in to show us around the apartment (and this was on Christmas morning no less!) and also gave me a map of the city with all the tourist attractions marked.
The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans/glasses/silverware/cork screw/etc etc. if you want to cook, you have the items there to do so.
I will happily stay here again when I return to Barcelona. Thank you Chelo!

We loved our stay at Chelo's property! It is just outside of the touristy areas so a great way to get the experience of living like a local while being able to easily get to most of the sights. The apartment is very comfortable, with great bakeries, restaurants, and shopping close by. And Chelo was an incredibly gracious and flexible host when our flight was cancelled and our trip delayed by a day. Despite several flight time changes she was there to meet us when we arrived, explained the details of the apartment, and got us oriented on the map. She was also nearly instantaneous in responding to questions and helping us with other issues that arose with our stay. I cannot speak highly enough of Chelo as a host, and highly recommend this property for a base while exploring Barcelona!

Good for families
This was a great alternative to other locations that are louder and busy. It’s still very close to most attractions, in fact we walked everywhere, but far enough that it was extremely quite at night. Communication with owner is fabulous.

The apartment is in a great location, with much of Barcelona within walking distance and all transportation options available nearby. Because none of the windows or doors face the street, noise is rarely an issue. The apartment is large and comfortable, and has many modern conveniences. Chelo is an excellent host, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

I'd say the flat's amenities were nice but we didn't stay in the flat a lot during our visit. The weather was so fantastic we didn't want to stay in. More about the flat...quiet neighborhood, easy access to taxis, restaurants, coffee, and parks. Loved the electric blinds. We only used the Air Conditioning a little because the doors to the outside gave us great air circulation. Chelo was a lovely host and gave us lots of ideas of how to walk everywhere.

Casp Street, Barcelona and Ms. Chelo Gonzalez Canada: Amazing Combination
This property is everything (and more) described in the VRBO portfolio. The flat location is an excellent find in a very clean and quiet neighborhood, and close to public transportation and numerous historical sights. The flat has the best supplied kitchen I've experienced while traveling abroad during the last 20+ years. Equally important are the shower facilities and comfortable beds for sleeping.
In terms of the physical aspects of representation of this facility the flat was everything was that presented via VRBO. What could not be represented was the depth of care and availability of Ms. Chelo Gonzalez Canada, who handles the flat. A warm woman with a depth of knowledge about the city, visiting with Chelo was like sitting down with an old friend and a cup of coffee. She gave us crucial information about handling public transportation, the best places for fish (as defined by locals), and places of significance about which we had little prior knowledge. Chelo helped us to form a deeper knowledge and understanding of Barcelona and Spain. Without a doubt, we will return to Barcelona and hopefully, will be able to stay with Chelo. Linda C. Johnson
