Everything was as stated on VRBO, great view, right on the beach and quiet. The issue we had was the place was not clean. The cleaning service must of had a bad day because the condo was filthy. Upon entering the condo we noticed right away it had not been cleaned, sanitized or disinfected. There were rings around the toilet. There was food on the floor especially in the living area. There’s fingerprints on the mirrors, tables and doors . I looked under the beds and you can sure tell it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The rugs are dirty. There were used tissues left in the bedroom drawer. Lint and dust everywhere. Foot marks on the walls. Everything needed to be cleaned and disinfected including the air vents. The ice in the freezer was moldy. We contacted the owner and he immediately contacted his cleaning staff. They were scheduled to come out the next day so the first nights stay wasn’t fit to live in. We tried to go ahead and at least wash the sheets before we slept in the beds but the washer broke and water was flowing everywhere. We went to the store and purchased cleaning items so we could clean the kitchen and bathrooms and wipe down other surfaces to disinfect what we could. The cleaning guy did come out the next day and he did a good job. The owner Jim did always answer my texts and calls promptly. Hopefully the issues have been resolved. We would not stay here again.

The property was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The owners communicated the Information we needed before our arrival, and we had no issues while on site. Our stay at OIB was enjoyable!

Overall we had a great week long stay at the property. No major issues to speak of, but appliances could use some attention and the owner has it on his to do list. This is a perfect location on the western side of the island and you can almost walk to Sunset Beach at low tide. Thanks for hosting us!

We've stayed at the Windjammer for 25 years. We've enjoyed wonderful relationships with the 2 private owners we've rented from. We've been welcomed back each year, with open arms. We were stunned to receive an email a week after we left saying that an additional $112.30 was being billed to our credit card due to the towels being stained and needed to be replaced. The instructions said to leave all towels in the bathtubs upon departure, which we did. The towels were in great condition when we left. In the 25 years we've been renting at the Windjammer, we've never experienced anything like this. It never crossed our minds that we should take pictures of the towels for our protection. It was stunning. We shared the information with the woman we rent from annually. She was equally shocked and reiterated how much she enjoys renting from us. We'll always return to the Windjammer, just not to this unit.

This property is just as advertised! Good sized pantry, well equipped kitchen. A little hicup on check-in, but owner very responsive. DO bring all personal items needed including paper towels and toilet paper.

I was away at a baseball tournament prior to our beach trip. I didn’t realize until we got there I didn’t have any info regarding the check in process. It was already later into the evening. I called Jim, he immediately answer my call and gave me the info and emailed it. Place was clean, perfect view, nice and spacious,

Clean and comfortable! We had a great visit. My only criticism is the pool deck has rusty nails sticking out all over it which is really concerning for the kiddos in particular. Otherwise, no complaints and would visit again!

We had little or no difficulties getting in and feeling at home. The beach views from the balcony are spectacular. The kitchen is well outfitted with all the things you need to prepare meals and eat in the condo but there are many great restaurants just minutes away. The walk out to the beach was made easy with dedicated stairs and walkway just off the parking garage.
