Overcharging

Breakfast is good

Location is awkward, difficult to reach. The gate make nonstop noise at night. Sound insulation is bad and we can hear the footsteps upstairs. Lack of shampoo and towel is surprising. Overcharge the residents without proper explanation

Stor dobbeltseng på 2 meter, hyggelig personale, rensligheten og beliggenheten. Parkering på eiendommen.

Ingen AC, men dette er også oppgitt under fasiliteter ved booking. Lite frokost utvalg.

Would definitely come back again. A short drive to town and tours.

Owners and staff very nice and accommodating. We had a very early tour so couldn't stay for the breakfast and that fixed us s great fruit and granola take away box instead. Amazing sunset view from their rooftop deck.

First time to Monteverde and hopefully not our last!

Our daily breakfast was consistently delicious and always served with a smile! We really enjoyed the “traditional” and have since attempted to replicate it at our condo in Coco Beach! The staff were outstanding! 5 star service and friendliness! Enjoyed our visits with Melanie and Pamela very much ♥️♥️

We cannot find fault in this hotel and its staff

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war gross und schön möbliert. Sehr bequem und gemütlich. Die Lage ist auch top. Kann ich 100 % weiterempfehlen.

Excellent Place to Stay - Highly Recommend

I cannot rave about the staff enough. SOOOOOO HELPFUL & FRIENDLY. We rented one of the 2-bedroom apartments. It had lots of amenities for cooking. The apartment and bedrooms are quite roomy. The shower amazingly hot. I loved the private, secured parking with your own gate remote. There is a platform balcony for everyone to share with comfy furniture and fairly decent view of Arenal Lake and the sunset at night. The breakfast is also AMAZING - you get your choice of several different hot or cold meals to choose from (pancakes, huevos rancheros, granola with fruit, omelet etc.) along with 4 or so beverage options plus fruit and a glass of juice. You can even have them bring breakfast to your room instead of eating in the dining room which we loved. Highly recommend this hotel. It was also a 5-minute drive to the center of Santa Elena - and about 15-20 minutes to all of the cloud forest reserves/hanging bridge parks. Also, very close to restaurants and amenities - maybe not walking distance per se - but easily accessible by car/taxi.

Nothing - could not have been happier with my stay.

One of the better value for money places we found in our travels.

Great Location, just a little bit out of town. New Lodge, very clean and well organized. Just a few rooms. Staff was great, food was great. No complaints and a lot better that some of the other accommodation in Monteverde we saw

Super nettes Personal

Das Personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit und spricht perfektes Englisch. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und es sind wirklich große Portionen. Wir konnten sogar ohne Problem etwas ändern. Außerdem wurde uns ein Bus Shuttle zu einer Night Tour organisiert was uns sehr gut gefallen hat.

Das Zimmer war sehr sehr klein und es gab keine Haken um Handtücher etc. aufzuhängen. Leider hat es in dem Zimmer super feucht gerochen, sowohl die Bettwäsche als auch der Raum an sich. Es gibt zwar einen entlüfter der die Feuchtigkeit entzieht aber dieser ist leider sehr laut. Das Zimmer ist außerdem sehr dunkel. Auf der Bettdecke haben wir ein paar Haare und Flecken entdeckt was nicht so ansprechen war. Nur zum schlafen reicht das Zimmer allerdings :)

we enjoyed the rain forests, zip lining and quaint village.

hotel was functional, clean. staff were friendly and gracious. Breakfast was good. parking space was good. I was disappointed that we did not get a room on top with easy access to the deck.

Bathroom was small, bit cramped. Main room did not have any windows felt a bit claustrophobic.

Nice, large rooms close to Santa Elena and Monteverde Cloud Forest

Calathea is a very nice B&B and we enjoyed our two night stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was filling. It is in a safe location with private parking and only a few minutes by car to shops and restaurants. The service was very friendly and helpful.

The internet was spotty at times, but it did not impact our stay.

Reception staff was warm and welcoming!

We had a spacious apartment, fully equipped kitchen and sitting area. Unfortunately we were not there long enough to take advantage of this!

No on site restaurant or nearby establishment to purchase refreshments!

Beautiful rooms, clean and comfortable.

Beautiful and comfortable room. The elevated deck patio was a plus. The hostess Melissa was an amazing help♥️ with touring and was just genuinely a pleasure.

Need a car to get around. Nothing really in walking distance. But I think that would be most accommodations in the Monteverde area as they are buried in hillsides.

Great place, very secure parking lot, I would recommend it

Calathea was a last minute reservation for us. Literally 20 minutes before the staff left at night because our airbnb we rented was not going to be suitable for us to sleep in. Calathea was cheaper and way better than the airbnb that we should have gone with them first.

Superb

Breakfast was good. Room was very clean. We loved Tony the cat! :) Thank you for adopting Tony! We liked the elevated platform.

A window in the room that we could keep open overnight. A place to plug in our electric cars.

Nice B&B for area

Nice, secure B&B. Building room nice decorated.

Room was HOT at night. Couldn't sleep. No AC or way to bring air into room without bringing in bugs. Room to small for us.

we had a car which made the property a great base for visiting nearby sights. if you don’t have a car it would be more difficult.

Quiet and comfortable.

Breakfast was good. The server was very friendly and efficient. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Quiet location outside of town. Comfortable and clean rooms. Enclosed parking area.

The roads were rough, so it would have been nice to be in town so we could walk to restaurants.

Cozy boutique hotel

Clean, cozy, friendly staff. Minutes from downtown where we find amazing restaurants. Breakfast in our rooms were scrumptious! Netflix available for great entertainment. You can tell that they care about their guests and it shows!

Would recommend for a stay in Monte Verde.

Delicious breakfast plenty of variety. Walkable to town, lovely views from the sun terrace. Modern rooms nicely decorated. Helpful staff who organised trips for us at short notice.

It was very windy and the rooms were not that sound proof so thought we were going to blow away in the night!
