Beautiful hotel in a perfect location.

Bespoke luxury, I would book again in a heart beat.

The Queen Victoria Hotel welcomed us with the utmost luxurious experience. The hotel staff greeted us by our family names each time they saw us creating a bespoke experience one would look for in a 5 star hotel. Arriving at the hotel, I was greeted with warm chai tea on a cold Cape Town winters night. In our room was a beautiful display of petit fours, the mini brownies were delicious. I highly recommend having an aperitif at their bar, a menu full of bespoke cocktails to choose from, followed by dinner at the restaurant. If you are planning to have dinner in the city, request a taxi pick up from the reception. I also found myself at the Spa, an absolute treat.

It’s not a five star hotel it should be a two star

The only thing is that very close to Water front that’s it

It’s not at all what they show on the pictures it’s completely different so that’s cheating And price is very high for what we get

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, great variety of food for breakfast, evening dinner was also very good. A very relaxing ambience with live piano playing in the bar in the evenings.

Even though we paid for bed and breakfast when booking the hotel, the charge did not include gratuity for service which was requested each morning.

Great location for the waterfront, large and comfortable room, very good food - huge and sumptuous breakfast, good light lunch menu and very good dinner. Above all, the staff were outstanding. Great service, always with a smile. Haven't experienced that in Europe or even the US for a very long time.

Virtually nothing. The TV channels were very few and the signal wasn't great; but we weren't there to watch TV. Our room had no view to speak of; but we were out and about all of the time so that didn't matter. Bed was huge, which is good; but on the firm side

used to be a great hotel but was disappointed this time around

Location

USB points were not working reported and it was not fixed. Down-lights were not working as well only plugged in lights were working. Bathroom tap was leaking water.

Superb stay at the Queen Victoria at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

The service at the Queen Victoria is exceptional. I am not saying this lightly since I have had the privilege to stay at hotels all over the world. The staff are just superb, at breakfast, the bar, the front desk. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are organized, friendly beyond belief and huge fun. The sun shines even brighter when you enter the breakfast area and you’re greeted by ‘Carol’! It is rare to see someone so devoted to her guests and so skilled in her job! A true gem!

Excellent hotel run by a very friendly set of staff in a wonderful location.

The staff were all so friendly, location is perfect and a very good spa facility a few steps away.

everything else was terrible. the breakfast was very poor, they don’t service the room with coffee. you need to wait an ages to get what did you asked for.

Premium location, yummy breakfast

Breakfast was amazing, really delicious, great quality, and big portions. The restaurant has views to Table Mountain, it was delightful to eat there every day. The management and reception staff including staff at door is amazing. They call you by your name, and always have a helpful or good word to say. We felt very welcomed every time we arrived back to our room. The location is simply the best out of all Cape Town. right next to the waterfront with plenty of restaurants, bars, promenades available. There is a big mall where you can shop for everything you need, also the boats for various excursions depart from there. The hotel is in an inside court, hidden and extremely safe, would recommend for families as well. Overall we are extremely pleased with our stay, thank you very much!

Unfortunately, we had a flood in our room from the room above on the 31st of December in the afternoon and all other rooms and nearby hotels were fully booked. I understand this situation is out of the hotel's control so they couldn't do much at that time. The staff from the reception and management was really nice, took our wet clothes and had them all cleaned free of charge to compensate for the unpleasant situation. However, I would have appreciated if the cleaning lady would vacuum the debris from the floor. Even if there were works happening to fix the leakage, we asked for the room to be cleaned, but it took more than a day for her to clean this up. She arranged our bed and bathroom but left the wet towels and dirt from the flood on the floor. On a similar note, the door of the room where the cleaning ladies stay is always open with dirty dishes, cleaning materials, and hotel supplies (water, shower gels) at the entrance. Every day on our way to the elevator we see it, I believe they should close the door and keep these items inside as it gives a bad visual impression to an otherwise clean and arranged hotel.

Friendly staff, close to the waterfront, breakfast outside ,even with limited places, loved the unexpected pool area in this part of town
