Great location, but run down building

I liked the location - was walkable to Venice Beach (although it is about a mile away, so it depends on people's ability to walk.) Was only about a 20 minute trip from the airport, so that was also nice that you weren't sitting in traffic for too long.

I thought the hotel overall seemed run down and not as clean as I would have expected. Seemed more like a motel type stay rather than something you should pay over $200 a night for

Hôtel parfait pour une escale à Venice Beach

Établissement qui a fait le choix de travailler le design et qui propose un petit espace extérieur convivial très agréable . La suite king size est trés bien agencée et spacieuse. Les chambres sont propres

Odeurs désagréables dans les chambres en particulier dans la double queen sans que l’on puisse ouvrir les fenêtres.

The best hotel to stay near Santa Monica

We had an amazing stay in this Hotel. Everything was perfect,. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off. The parking is perfect. If sometime we come back to Los Angeles, sure, we will repeat in this Hotel.

The breakfast not is included.

I would definitely stay here again

The pull out bed was great for my son and the room was cute and AC worked great.

The walls were kinda thin but it wasn’t too bad.

A gem!

The location was excellent. Communication from 8 months prior to our stay was fantastic. Very accommodating with our family of 5, by supplying a roll-away bed. The kids loved the hot tub.

Pay for parking, but this seems standard for LA.

big rooms, comfortable beds. nice to have a parking in a reasonable price. ‏ The distance to Venice Beach and Abbot Kinney is not small, but further down the street towards the east there are some cute restaurants and bars

its not a hotel, its more like a guesthouse. the hipster decor may look nice on instagram, but its not enough. its all there just for decoration- there is no bar, and the fireplace doesn’t work. the place is very old and can use some fixing. the pool is small, we didn’t use it.

Quick Trip and Great Place to Stay

Loved the style of the hotel. Super quirky and cool with some fun little hidden gems - like hammocks in a courtyard you didn't expect to be there. Hotel was clean and staff were really nice.

Great vibe value in the heart of Venice

Smack dab between Venice and Marina del Rey, this is a great value location with a trendy vibe that is safe and clean for anyone looking for a home base for a few days. The hotel itself is def trying to be hip and trendy- the decor of the hotel and rooms is nice and feels like an extension of Abbot Kinney. Overall, the beds and rooms are clean and comfortable and feel safe. It is an older building, so if you look too closely, you will see things from an 70's era motel and honestly, for the price, thats ok. The value is great, the vibe is fun and you are in LA, so you wont spend that much time there anyways!

Convenient location to access other parts of LA by car

The vibe of the hotel itself is pretty cool. The location is fairly close to major highways, which was important for me. Also the parking is right at the hotel and is very secure, and reasonably priced.

There are not a bunch of restaurants within walking distance, so that was a bummer. I thought the walk to Venice Beach would be shorter; you really are better off taking an Uber. The lighting at the bathroom was not good.

Disappointing

The location was amazing! 10 minute walk from the shops on abbot kinney and erewhon for any meals/groceries

The room smelled a little weird and didn't feel clean. The staff was really nice and all trying their best but the room itself didn't feel clean. I think it was the carpets that made the room smell. I stayed here for 6 nights it would be more ideal for 2-3 nights max.

Exceptional

Such lovely staff! Location fantastic if using their bikes or have a car- biking is easy with good bike lanes around Venice and Santa Monica. Great facilities- fire pit, pool, gym. Lovely room, nice decor and very comfy bed.

great relaxing place with lots of charm and different areas to relax around a fire or lounge on a cabana

We had a great room very spacious and the bedroom was separate, friendly and helpful staff. Pool and spa were great

Very good value for a comfy room in a great location!

It was very comfortable and in a great location. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. Good amenities.

The building is a bit dated but it's been decorated in a cool and modern style. It could use a little market or vending machine or somewhere to buy snacks and drinks.
