Good for romantic couples (and the hotel is full of them).
Beautiful views from the rooms and the rooftop.
Loved that the pool was adults only! (Noting that each day one or two families didn't read the sign and still brought kids to it and the staff didn't say anything). There was also a full swim up bar which was always staffed and served delicious drinks- I have found that pool bars actually having staff and drinks is more rare than you would think.
There is a second pool which kids are welcome in so it caters to families too.
A little bit outside of town which is great if you just want to hang by the resort pool (which I definitely did some of). They have a shuttle to town but it only runs hourly.
The room set up was a bit weird. Everything sits on a platform (bed, desk/table) so there isn't anywhere to sit in the room (there is a balcony with two chairs but of course it's hot and humid).

Hôtel placé à une dizaine de minutes du centre ville ce qui assure une certaine tranquillité. L'hôtel propose des navette gratuites toutes les heures qui vous amènent sur la plage de Don Muang. Pour info, le soir nous revenions en Tuk Tuk pour 300 Baths (moins de 8€)... Les chambres sont spacieuses et le petit déjeuner correct.
Le coin repas auprès de la piscine fait un peu trop cantine...

Nous avons adoré l’hôtel. Tout est pensé pour passer un bon séjour (navette, spa, restaurants, rooftop, service de taxi, point info tourisme). Personnel très gentil.
La navette pour aller à la plage ne couvre pas toutes les heures, c’est dommage. Pas d’après shampoing.

We were welcomed by a German farang in a straw hat who didn’t introduce himself until well into the check-in procedure. In fact, he was the owner. He kept babbling about how ecological, peaceful and good his hotel was. Very uncomfortable first impression.
As soon as we arrived in the room, we noticed a big yellow stain (urine?) in the bedding. Immediately complained and had them changed: next there were hairs in the linen. Complained again. Housekeeping changed them again and there were still stains in the next set. The sun loungers had all brown stains in them. Pool towels as well. There were leftover used tissues by the bed from previous guests… what kind of sick unhygienic joke was this?
We were offered an upgrade to a Pool Suite which smelled of mold. We passed for the upgrade as the Spa Suite had a bath and the Pool Suite did not. Next day, our room was cleaned with a new set of bed sheets. And yes, disgusting hairs again. At some point, you just give up complaining. We were offered a free dinner and Thai massage. Dinner was cold and slow (+40min waiting time) and did not include drinks. Massage was good, but they tried to bill us for it even though we had a compensation voucher. Sound proofing is 0, you can hear your neighbours talking, moving around and switching on/off lighting. Don’t even get us started on the rooster, who will wake you every day at 5am (but it’s ecological and nature). Why are the Spa Suites on the 6th floor, just below the Sky Bar? You can hear chairs and furniture being moved around when it’s busy in the evening. They had construction works in front of the hotel which meant noise (hammering, drilling) all day at the pool. The pool bar is unattended all day until 4pm (happy hour). You have to phone in your order.
In the end, we left 1 night earlier than planned and ran away from this fake place. Anana is not worth 5* and definitely not the high premium price you pay for it.

Die Unterkunft hat eine schöne Lage, es gibt ein kostenloses Shuttle zum Beach und zu Stadt, da dies fussläufig schlecht zu erreichen ist. Es war sehr sauber, dass Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffet lies keine Wünsche offen.

Hotel in schöne ruhigen Lage. Zimmer sehr sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool läd zum relaxen ein und das Frühstücksbuffet bietet genug Auswahl. Für 5€ am Tag kann man einen Roller mieten. Ausflüge und Transfers lassen sich auch direkt vom Hotel aus organisieren (Preise unterscheiden sich nicht groß von den Tourist informations). Es fährt fast stündlich ein Mini-Bis vom Hotel zum Ao Nang Beach. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Mittags und Abends gibt es das Angebot von vielen sowohl thailändische als auch europäischen Speisen. Zu deren Qualität können wir nichts sagen, da wir außer morgens immer auswärts gegessen haben. Im Vergleich zu auswärtigen Restaurants am Ao Nang Beach sind die Speisen und Getränke im Hotel deutlich höher.
Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man ein paar Tage in Ao Nang verbringen möchte, aber es ein bisschen ruhiger möchte und trotzdem gut erreichen kann. Wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

The stuff was amazing
Firstly, they put us in the room with an exceptionally smelly mattress, like someone urinated on it multiple times, after lying on that bed for 20 mins, I felt sick the whole night. On the bright side, they gave us a new room as soon as I told about that.

Very nice breakfast and nice pool area with a bar.
The hotel is located a little far away from aonang beach, but there is a free shuttle service once an hour to the beach (takes about 10min). There is free yoga.

The girls at the desk were fantastic, always willing to help, the service in general was very strong.
The only thing I thought could be improved was the breakfast, if there was a way to keep the food cooler, as warm yoghurt or fruit isn’t ideal.

Staff was friendly and responsible. The restaurant was on the rooftop, had a great view and the food was good. The breakfast was fine, they had good options. They had a shuttle bus to go to the center every hour and had 2 locations for the pick up.
The property didn't meet our expectations because the hotel was more of a 3 star than a 4-5 star. The facilities had problems like the lights were blinking. The bed sheets and blankets had some stains. The location was about 20 minutes away by walk but it was good they had a shuttle bus.

We had a really good time at Anana. The staff was super kind. Like everybody. During dinner and breakfast, the front staff, the cleaners and the guy bringing us to the centre of Ao Nang.
Also the rooms were nice, quite big. The location is away from the busy area, but the hourly shuttle to the centre and Grab taxi for 70 Baht, make it easy to go to other places. The options for dinner are varied, just like the breakfast. The owner also has a nice story of the ecological vision behind Anana to decrease the travel industry's footprint.

Beautiful rooms and great amenities. I don’t think it’s a 5 star hotel by international standards but nevertheless, great place! The pool area was quite big with sun beds and a bar that opened in the afternoons. I loved the ‘remote’ location (although it was only a short drive away from Ao Nang and the view from the windows on the cliffs was amazing. Very good breakfast.
Food at the poolside restaurant wasn’t the best. Also the staff there wasn’t the nicest (ignoring guests and you had to walk up to the counter anytime you wanted to order something or pay)

we have an upper level pool room which I wouldn’t recommend. yes it was nice to look at but we never actually used the pool due to no sun beds. the standard rooms would have a nice Mountain View so seems a lot more value for money

just absolutely lovely. Clean, comfy, stylish! Food and cocktails were also great! shuttle to town and beach! amazing shower. Was the same price as a lot of the cheaper hotels but included breakfast and is sososo much nicer!
nothing really! would say menu with plus 17% tax and service for food and drink is spenny for a traveler. The pool was lush but did have lots of bugs init!

It’s in a nice quiet area but close enough to get to the busy parts if you want to and they run a regular shuttle back and forward to the beach.
I didn’t use it as it was raining but the pool area was nice and the second pool for the more expensive rooms was lovely and totally empty. Staff were friendly but slow at times. Free yoga classes several times a week and some good offers in the spa.
Good breakfast although it can get very busy so I’d get there a little earlier to beat the rush.
As many other people have mentioned, the soundproofing or lack of it between the studio rooms is awful. You can literally hear everything and so I had two really bad nights sleep.
The rooftop bar was closed during my stay so didn’t get to experience that but I did pop up and have a look and the views where lovely. Appreciate it had been raining but as some of it was undercover, it’s a pity it remained closed. Am sure this is for safety reasons so not the fault of the hotel.
The downstairs (outdoor) restaurant isn’t particularly welcoming, it’s an odd space and the service was very slow. I had to go up and ask to be served several times, as did other guests.
I witnessed one of the staff at breakfast sneeze into his hands and then wipe them on his trousers without washing them. He was setting up the glasses and cups for the self service area so some basic hygiene training is clearly needed for this individual.
Other than that, it’s a nice hotel but the lack of sleep due to the noise ruined it for me. Don’t be put off staying here but do spend a little more and book the pool access rooms. They looked lovely and peaceful.

This was one of the most fabulous places I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled for many years to many countries! We stayed in the adults only section with the upper level room with access to the pool. It was incredible. The design, simplicity and tranquility was divine, incredible. There had been a lot of thought into the layout of the rooms, buildings and pool, making most of the mountains and natural views. It was lovely and quiet. We just chilled the entire time, utter paradise. The staff were very helpful, and were so graceful moving about you didn't know they were there. Cocktails were made of really fresh ingredients and were unique and delicious. It was heaven on earth! An amazing place for a trip.
If you do want to venture out, it's a 10m walk to the nearest road with restaurants and bars, or the hotel will help to get a car to the beach.
I can't recommend this place more highly. Sensational.
