About this cottage rental
Located in Block Island, this charming cottage for $299 per night is a great option for your next trip. This one bedroom cottage is the perfect retreat for a couple looking for a get-away. Overlooking one acre of rolling hills with signature Block Island stone walls, this delightful cottage offers privacy and the Island's best stargazing. Located just over a mile to downtown and the beach, it is easy to enjoy all Block Island has to offer. Walking distance to Greenway Hiking Trails as well as New Harbor, the cottage provides a convenient home base for exploring what The Nature Conservancy refers to as "A last great place." The cottage offers one bedroom with a queen sized bed (with a very comfortable mattress) and a love seat in the living area. **All sheets and towels (plus beach towels) are included. A high-top table is also in the open living area. There is a full bathroom with a large tiled shower, as well as an attached private hot/cold outdoor shower. There is also a deck with a bistro set as well as a gas grill for outdoor cooking. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, oven/stove top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and teapot. We also have AC for the summer season! All household products, including: soap; plastic wrap; aluminum foil; paper towels; etc. are provided. So, just pack your bathing suit and flip flops and enjoy! If it is your first time on Block Island or your thirtieth, we look forward to making your experience a truly memorable one. PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional 8% tax on rentals in Rhode Island as well as a 1% Block Island tax.

My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful week. Ed, Marti , and Julia are wonderful hosts. The place is terrific, quaint and very comfortable. It is very clean and well stocked. The location is great. Can’t wait to stay again!

This cottage is the absolute perfect place to stay for a couple who wants to do the island the right way. I’ve come to Block Island probably 30 times since I was a kid, and this place has everything you could want. We were able to go to so many of the great spots on the island either on foot or on our bikes. Amazing location that’s less than a 10-minute bike ride from Old Harbor and town beach, a 5-minute ride to New Harbor (and Payne’s Donuts), and a very manageable 20-minute ride to the bluffs and the SE lighthouse. There’s parking too if you need to bring a car, but you absolutely do not need to.
It has a spacious living area and a nice full bed in the air-conditioned bedroom. There’s a full kitchen that, unlike a lot of rental houses, has knives that are actually sharp enough to cut things and nonstick pans that aren’t completely ruined. There’s a nice grill for those swordfish steaks you’ll get at Dick’s Fish in New Harbor, and the perfect pots and serving dishes for big batches of clams with white wine and garlic. Eating out on the island can be very expensive, so being able to cook nice meals in a rental is great. It even has carafes for making iced tea and a full set of tupperware for your leftovers. There’s a big yard you can lie down in to look at the stars, and tables for eating outside. Oh and it has THE most essential thing – an outdoor shower.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! We were celebrating our 40th anniversary, so the owners thoughtfully provided a bottle of bubbly along with 2 flutes and a card. We also got to visit with the very friendly owners for a bit, which is always nice!
Regarding the cottage itself, it was clean & well stocked with everything we needed!
The only downsides were:
1. There were quite a few steps, some uneven, leading up to the cottage, which for the young and those in good shape shouldn't be an issue, but it may be for some.
2. The property is situated very close to a main road, which kept us from being able to enjoy a walk to town even though it was close enough.
But these were minor negatives compared to the many positive qualities of the property.

This is a sweet cottage nestled on a hill. Centrally located and easy to get to everything. We enjoyed quiet time at the top of the hill enjoying the view. The unit has an air conditioner which is unusual for places on Bi. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this cottage and would stay there again

The cottage was beautiful. It was spotlessly clean, cozy and well equipped. It was close to everything without being too close to the in town action. The weather turned bad and the ferries were not running. Marti went out of her way to accommodate us and eased our anxieties about getting home. I can’t say enough about the kindness of our hosts and in spite of some big bumps, what a wonderful trip we had. We can’t wait to return.

Had the most wonderful week on Block Island. The island itself, the vibe of the people, the protected and maintained natural beauty were all wonderful. The cottage itself was perfect -- we were so comfortable, felt really provided for (we did a lot of cooking and were super pleased with the equipment and supplies), and the surrounding property was so special (and there were tons of monarchs flying around at no extra charge). The hosts were so wonderful -- informative, attentive, fun, trusting, ,helpful.
It's the type of place where I want to return to again and again, have everyone I know stay there too, but selfishly not want to tell anyone else. Perfect for a couple.
Again, we were so pleased and can't wait to go back.

Perfect pied-a-tierre in a heavenly place
Block Island is for us the most beautiful place in the world, and we found this sweet cottage to have everything a couple could want to explore it in comfort and with convenience. Its location is handy to everything but far from tourist crowds. There is a spacious backyard with a picnic table and lovely view, and a fully-equipped kitchen if you don't want to eat out. Marti, Ed, and Julia are most welcoming and responsive. We will gladly return!

Cozy Island retreat
Accommodations were very clean and well appointed for all one would need to have a relaxing visit on Block Island. Grounds were well cared for with an expansive lawn and a hilltop ideal for sunset viewing. Property was centrally located with easy walking access to the airport and New harbor. Short drive to town and easy access to many hikes on the island. Hosts were friendly and made us feel at home. We had a wonderful time! Thank you.

Just as advertised. A really nice place to have stayed. Clean bathroom, comfortable bed, and even supplied clean towels. I would absolutely stay here again. Only recommendation I’d make is to make sure you bring your car or rent a bike/moped as it’s just slightly off the downtown area to be walking every day

Beautiful cottage for 2!
This was the perfect cottage for our weekend getaway! It was clean, quiet and equipped with anything you may need. Marti and Ed greeted us when we arrived, and were fantastic the whole time. It was nice knowing they were just a phone call away (as they have a lot of info on the island). The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed the fire pit at night too. The pictures are very accurate on the site. I think it was even better in person. We will definitely be returning! Thank you!
