Great place, location, bed, facilities. Would stay again

Bed was nice and firm and we slept very well. Thoughtful touches like extra toilet paper, swim towels, espresso and coffee making facilities, extra towels, etc were very appreciated. The a/c was also the best we have experienced in a boutique hotel in Europe.

Excellent host, location and amenities. Great value!

We had a fantastic experience at Merla, by far our favourite accommodation of our entire trip in Croatia. We loved the interior, the room was so luxurious and had lots of special touches for example wine glasses, chilled water, coffee pods and biscuits. We were given the option of new sheets and clean bedding daily and also met the cleaning lady who was so friendly! There is a private garden with an automated canopy which is perfect to wind down after a long day exploring Split. The host (Nikola) was very helpful in terms of restaurant recommendations and responsive communication via whatsapp, going above and beyond with our personal requests. The room is in a great location, only a 5 minute walk from the walls of Diocletian's palace and very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the AC was fantastic. Should we return, we would 100% stay at Merla again, thank you.

Would definitely stay here again.

Super location and lovely big room. Comfortable big bed. Communication with the owner Nikola was excellent. Airport transfer was simple and on time.

A little noisy at times during the night with passing people. Shower ran cold after one shower. But doesn’t take long to heat up again.

Wonderful place to stay in Split

Beautiful room, spotlessly clean. Located in centre, close to shops, restaurants, bars & the port. We stayed in the attic room which had a fab balcony.

Amazing!

This was honestly one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The room was so spacious and the terrace was a gorgeous addition. The bed was so comfortable and the location very central. The host was an absolute delight and gave us lots of restaurant recommendations. 100% recommend staying here!

A lovely retreat a short stroll from attractions. Very comfortable and clean.

It felt like you were in a beautifully decorated guest room at a friends place.

The only thing and I’m struggling to find anything I didn’t like but what I found was the glass door for the bathroom door was a little annoying when someone else uses the bathroom in the middle of the night the light is bright in the room and wakes you up.

Lovely room in a good location

We had a large, comfortable room which was very nicely furnished. Our room was in a good location close to everything in the centre of Split. Our host met us at the property and organised a taxi for us back to the airport .

Relaxing.

I liked how modern and renovated it was in the interior, it was close to the city center, and easy to find. Would recommend to friends moving forward.

It’s minor, but had some difficulty figuring out how to work the air conditioner and the hot water ran out for one of my showers, but otherwise it was a great experience.

Very good

Had to check in late because the train was late but that was no problem. Good shower. Comfortable bed.

Very minor but there was no water in the fridge (had been told there was water in the fridge)

Exceptional

It was a very pleasant one week stay in Split and Merla. Merla was conveniently located only a few minutes walk to the promenade but still in a quiet part of old town. Shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets were all close by. The room was modern, had a comfy bed, a good size bathroom, a fridge and a big screen tv. It also had a big and sunny terrace that had a sun lounger and chairs that we also got to use since the weather was mostly sunny and warm during our visit. The room was cleaned daily and kept in good condition. Got some great restaurant tips from the owners Nikola & Jelena. We will totally recommend Merla Art & Luxury rooms to anyone visiting Split and if we ever come back we will definitely stay there again.

Great place - excellent value for money

An amazingly beautiful place to stay! Excellent location, in the center but in a calm street, very comfortable beds (the best we ever had in Split) spotlessly clean and with all amenities one may need. our hostess warmly welcomed us, even though we we a bit late, and gave us all useful information. The weather was bad, cold and rainy, but Netflix and other programmes saved us! We wholeheartedly recommend this place!!

Amazing stay at Split

We had an amazing stay here and the host was extremely friendly. It's a well maintained apartment and the host is there for every need. Located a bit far from the crowds of the city and main attractions are at a walkable distance.

Staying here was like (heaven), home away from home.

staying here was the absolute best! I have never felt so at home with traveling abroad. The room was beautiful it was super clean and smelt amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer! Its centrally located surrounded by shops, game of thrones museum and the beautiful hostess makes the best cakes and muffins I've ever had!!! Not to mention how comfortable the bed was omg it was like a cloud ... literally. The Wi-Fi was great and there was Netflix available! I loved visiting Croatia, but my stay there made the vacation way sweeter.

Beautiful room and perfect location

Gorgeous apartment with great amenities. We really loved the small touches like the wine. Location is perfect - just a short walk to the Old Town.

Absolutely beautiful place and a great location. Lots of thoughtful touches in the room and it was lovely to have a bottle of wine and muffins with a welcome note when we got there. Very quiet and a comfortable bed which lead to a great sleep.

Exceptional

Our stay at Merla was amazing and more than we could hope for. Jelene was a wonderful hostess and very helpful, stayed late to check us in and chatted with us with her home made sherry. Jelene surprised us with a bottle of their own wine and home made cupcakes for my 60th birthday that I was celebrating while there. Lovely touch! Our room had a beautiful balcony where we enjoyed coffee in the morning, then would have a short 5 min walk into old town to enjoy all the sights and places Split had to offer. All in all, a wonderful stay. We would recommend Merla highly.
