About this house rental
Located in Big Bear, this charming house for $216 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This 2 story, 3-bedroom, 2 bath townhome is at the base of the Snow Summit ski area. You will absolutely love all the upgrades and the location. Enjoy the end unit with large window views to the east, south and west. The elevated great room on the upper floor is, enhanced by the mountain views of the forest pines. The front door entry faces a forest of oak and pine trees. It is also possible to ski to the front door at the end of your ski day or for a lunch break. Our townhome is beautifully furnished and well equipped. We supply you with free highspeed broadband Internet and free unlimited nationwide long-distance calls. You will love the large wood burning fireplace where you cozy up to its warmth on a snowy evening on the spacious hearth. It s very easy to light your firewood with the gas log lighter. Yes, you do need to provide your own firewood, which is available in the office or local stores. The upstairs great room includes a recently remodeled kitchen with granite counters and a bar with knotty alder wood cabinets. Our well-equipped kitchen is supplied with everything you could possibly need to make any kind of dinner. There are two patio decks and the upstairs deck includes a gas barbecue and Patio table. The lower floor master bedroom has a door that opens to the lower deck. This gives you access to the enclosed outdoor SPA.. The three bedrooms are on the lower floor providing cool sleeping during the summer months. If you have a larger group, the 2.5 BR 2 Bath townhome next door is also available with direct interconnecting interior doors and a common connecting balcony. We went to Big Bear for the Spartan Race. Being so close to Snow Summit was awesome. The condo was so comfortable and spacious. We got the adjoining condo too, which made nice with our big group.

Easy parking and check-in. The place is as described and very comfortable. My kiddos especially loved the bunk beds and hot tub. The master bath shower is very nice. The TV in the family room pivots which is very nice. We bought wood for the fireplace but we didn’t get a chance to use it so we gifted it to this owner for the next family staying there. I would highly recommend this place without reservation.

Great place to stay with family. Walk to the slopes. Lots of room for a family and very comfy and cozy. Hot tub a big plus. Nice upgrades. Fireplace wonderful for family gatherings. Big dining table for family dinners. Kitchen pots and pans and utensils desperately in need to replacement. Clean, but could use a deep clean between seasons. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. Richard is a great host.

We stayed during Presidents week when Big Bear got 4 feet of fresh powder in 72hours! Cabin is exactly as pictured and listed. Communication with the owner Dick was excellent. The cabin was easy to walk to and from Snow Summit Resort. Hot tub was great!

Excellent location for skiing/boarding! This nice clean condo is walking distance to Snow Summit, making it the perfect location for a ski weekend with family and kids. It’s conveniently located right by the ski school for the kids and made for an easy walk for everyone to carry their ski gear. Also, the spa was already heated when we got there which was nice to slide into right after a day in the snow. We were able to buy firewood from the front office which was super convenient and spared us yet another trip through town. Condo was well stocked with all the necessities for cooking (although, we couldn’t find measuring cups which the owner must not be aware they disappeared since every other utensil and cookware was available… including Keurig, coffee pot, blender, bottle opener, etc) Check in and out was very easy with detailed instructions. Owner/property manager was very responsive. The decor and furnishings were a bit dated but that doesn’t really matter since everything was clean and well cared for. Plus, did I mention the location and spa? Would stay here again

We had a very memorable and fun experience. Communication was so easy and he gave us all the information we needed to have an easy and smooth check-in and check-out process. The place is awesome and clean. It is super convenient and very close to the Snow Summit resort.

Great place
The location is wonderful for snowboarders/skiers and the village and markets are close. the welcome gift was appreciated as well as clean linens and towels. Fancy towel and tissue display was a plus. My only suggestion is to replace a couple of skillets but I know renters can be tough on them.

First of all, the property was in immaculate shape. Everything was clean, smelled fresh, and was ready for us upon our arrival.
The kitchen was very well apportioned, and had all of the utensils and things that we required. There was even a bottle of white wine left for us, which was just the icing on an already phenomenal cake.
The hot tub was in perfect working order, and amazing after a day at the slopes. Snow Summit is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property, so you won't have to deal with the insane parking there.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, and I would recommend this place to anyone!

A cozy hideaway close to everything
This stylish townhome was the perfect getaway destination for a few days of snowboarding at Snow Summit. It is ideally located on an end with forest views, about a six minute walk from the lifts. The townhome has a split-level layout with bedrooms and spa on the lower level and a great-room common area on the upper level, including a roomy deck. The kitchen is well-equipped, except the frypans were very tired (not surprising in a rental). The spa was enjoyable and situated in a private balcony area. The master bathroom looks recently updated and is very nice. The unit comes with two parking spots, very handy in this part of Big Bear, where you can't park anywhere on the street. We enjoyed both the homey touches and the large smart TV in the living room. Everyone in our group enjoyed our short stay and we hope to return sometime. Thank you to Richard, our host.

Excellent location, Clean and Comfortable
This location couldn't be better! Clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Dick made it easy to reserve and was very communicative. Located right next to Snow Summit, and we also enjoyed riding our bikes to the Village for a drink and ice cream for the kids.

My husband, sister, and I had a long weekend getaway, which was simply perfect. The property is comfortable and nice, with close proximity to everything we wanted to see and do. It was very peaceful and we also enjoyed our time just sitting on the balcony and enjoying the weather. We would definitely return!

Great Stay
We had a good time staying here. I have stayed in many Escape condos and Richard has done an excellent job in updating his unit while keeping the feel of the original design. Everything was as described. I was impressed by the cleanliness and appointments. My whole group enjoyed our stay. Location is very convenient to everything while still feeling like you are in the woods.

Great location but needs a few repairs
The location of this property was perfect -- walking distance to Summit Mountain. It also had easy access to some hiking in the woods behind it. The place was comfortable and clean but a few doors need to be fixed. The bathroom door in the master bedroom is misaligned leading to getting stuck there; the kids' room sliding door is off the hinges so we couldn't close it, and the closet door in the kids room is also off the hinges so we had issues accessing clothes in the closet easily.

We came up for my son's Spring break and for a little end of snow season activity. The location of this condo was perfect to the main lift, yet far enough away from all the associated noise near the main area. The condo was great and everything worked as described. Richard was great from the initial rental process to check out. Well be back next season!

Great location - property is a cozy gem
We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy condo. It was perfect for our family of six - two adults and four children. The unit is clean, comfortable and the perfect location. We literally walked to snow summit in the morning and walked back after the day was done. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This condo is in a perfect location, we were able to walk to Snow Summitt. The upstairs living area is great and we really enjoyed the fireplace. Being able to use the jacuzzi after a day of skiing was really great!
The booking and check-in process was a breeze and Richard was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions; and we really appreciated the bottle of wine left for us.
