About this house rental
Nestled in Oceanside, this charming house for $995 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our home is best described by the 5-Star reviews of our guests over the years. It is unique with a vacant lot to the south, making it open, and bright with easy access to the beach. We have everything to help you enjoy your time at the beach. The patio, family room, master bedroom and deck share panoramic views of the ocean south to La Jolla and north to Camp Pendleton. With the open lot to the south, the fully equipped kitchen and large family room enjoy panoramic views of the water while you are cooking, dining and relaxing. Lounge on the patio and enjoy watching the waves break or the frequent visits from jumping (and sometimes surfing) dolphins. The beach is known for its good surf, so enjoy boogie boarding and surfing on the boards provided. A private sand area on the patio is perfect for private sunbathing or keeping an eye on small children who can play in their own private sand area with the collection of sand toys provided. Next to the house are the horseshoe pits that can also double as a bocce ball court or bean bag toss using the equipment provided. Access to the beach is just off the south side of the house, walk out the sliding doors down the slope to the vacant lot and you are on the beach. The patio has an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, an extra large remote controlled awning for shade, and plenty of chaise lounges for sunning. The garage holds a ping-pong table, fishing poles, surfboards, boogie boards, a stand-up paddle board, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, two beach cruisers, kayak and a variety of other toys, beach equipment and games for all ages. The Oceanside pier is just a mile's stroll up the beach where you will find a variety of restaurants as well as a movie theater. The Oceanside harbor is a short distance past the pier and features more restaurants, water sports activity and sailing/fishing charters. Enjoy a ride to the pier and back on our two beach cruisers, or take a stroll and enjoy the views. The San Diego Zoo, Wild Safari Animal Park, Lego Land, Gaslamp District of Downtown San Diego and Balboa Park with all its wonderful museums are just a 30 minute drive down the freeway. Horse racing at Del Mar racetrack is just 20 minutes south (the race season runs from mid-July to the first week of September). A little over an hour away you will find Disneyland, California Adventures, and Knott's Berry Farm. Bicycle trails for road and mountain bikes abound, and you will see riders passing in groups daily up and down the street. Just one short block south is Buccaneer Park which includes a tasty little food hut for lunch, snacks, and sometimes dinner (you would be surprised at the menu and the food, it is quite good). The park also has a basketball court, swings, and slides for young children. The kitchen is fully equipped with an assortment of cooking tools, an array of spices are provided as is coffee and soaps and cleaning materials. The house has a large screen TV in the kitchen/family room, each bedroom also has a TV. There is an assortment of DVD's as well as a blue tooth speaker unit for your own music. Two WIFI access addresses are available throughout the house. The garage can accommodate 2 cars and has an epoxy finished floor. The ping pong table folds down in the garage where you will also find boogie boards, foam surfboards, and miscellaneous sand and beach toys . If you have any questions about whether the photos reflect the reality of what you will find on arrival, read our reviews from past guests. Most of our visitors have told us the photos do not do the place justice. We appreciate your interest in renting and will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Property is amazing! It's in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the ocean. The master bedroom could not be more peaceful! Comfortable bed; falling asleep and waking the the crashing waves below. We saw dolphins pods right from the bedroom. The property is as described. Tony was helpful and very quick to respond and accommodate. The home is a quick drive to Carlsbad where the restaurants are fantastic. Our family enjoyed eating, walking, shopping and taking photos there. If you want to relax this is the place to be.

We are a family of five. All adult children. Great hang out house with amazing views. Host was great. House well equipped. Just a heads up that it’s a rock beach so bring water shoes. Swimming and surfing and body surfing in front of the house was excellent.

No surprises with the property. Exactly as described and pictured, except for the sandy beach. There was only river rock, so we couldn't walk the beach or squish our feet in the sand. We stayed about two blocks away last year, and it was the same thing. Tony was very welcoming. Even had out an assortment of candy,snacks,etc. on our arrival.

This home was life-giving for our family. From the moment we sent the request to reserve it to coming home and going through photos, we were captured by how much Tony cares about his guest’s experience and how to support their joy. This—on top of how incredible this space is! Tony made sure we had everything at our fingertips—restaurant recommendations, tips about the house and thoughtful snacks and FRESH!-picked fruit and drinks. We were in awe! And while the view was one we never wanted to leave, the location was perfect that we were able to make day trips to San Diego, Disneyland and LA for a Dodgers game over the week we spent there. We could truly soak it all up. The kitchen was stocked perfectly—cooking was a joy. Falling asleep to waves in the primary bedroom was a dream. The double washer/dryer made prepping to come home a breeze—important when you don’t want to leave! We felt so grateful for this time and are thrilled to have spent the time here. Next time, we need to have the kids take surf lessons, as the access right outside the front porch is too good! If you’re looking for a true escape with your family or friends, we cannot recommend Tony and Kim’s place enough.

Location and space were great. Property had plenty of water sport equipment to use, sandbox toys and bikes. Property was a little on the worn side, but nice. Upstairs lighting needed some attention. Shower handle was loose and came off. Kitchen had a mice issues. However, we would rent the property again.

My wife, daughter, son in law and our four grandsons (3-13) had the privilege of staying a week in this beautiful home. The home was exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations. We come to So CA every year to pass our love of surfing to our family. Beautiful location and were still able to get other surf breaks very easily. One of our best weeks ever. Thanks Tony and family.

Tony was the best host! He was very responsive and so generous. They left us a wonderful array of treats and beverages for the whole family. Even breakfast food for our first morning in case we didn’t have time to get to the store. The beach house was magnificent and the photos don’t do it justice. Couldn’t ask for more with this trip. Beautiful views of the beach and sunset with sounds of the waves as you sleep. Well stocked house and owner was available for all questions during trip. Even stocked with games, books, and toys for the kids. We can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic SoCal Getaway
My husband and I were looking to escape the winter cold and this place was perfect! The view and sunsets were indescribable and we were able to fall asleep to crashing waves every night. Tony was so helpful and responsive to any of our questions. The house was completely furnished with everything we needed and more (including the most wonderful oranges :)) While we didn’t take advantage of the surf, there was plenty of beach toys to keep a full family entertained. The location was close to everything yet private and we were able to be drinking wine on the deck within 45 minutes of leaving the San Diego airport. We can’t wait to bring back the entire family!

Beautiful house, amazing views
This house was everything we were looking for in a beach escape: amazing 180-degree views right on the water, multiple restaurants within walking distance, ample parking, and everything else we needed within a 5-minute drive. The house was clean and well-appointed - we cooked multiple meals and had absolutely everything we needed! Our host was responsive and the check-in and check-out processes were seemless. Can't wait to stay here again!

This was the perfect get away. The property was immaculate, well stocked and the owner, Tony was very accomodating from start to finish. Tony provided us with all the information we needed regarding the property, the area, local restaurants and attractions. He checked in to confirm that we had everything we needed. The attention we had was even more than you get from a top-level hotel. The house itself is very open and lots of space for the 6 of us. Amazing views, right on the ocean, great surfing spot, and plenty of space to sit out on the patio above the beach for anyone concerned with being around others due to the pandemic. Kids had a great time, the house has plenty of beach toys (surfboards, boogie boards, etc..). Would definitely recommend this property to others. We look forward to staying there again in the future!

Amazing Family Vacation
We had an amazing family vacation. With 6 adults and 3 kids, there was plenty of room. Beach access was very accessible which allowed for much more beach time, and for the smaller kiddos, there was a "sand box" on the patio. Nice and relaxing with all the amenities. Owner was accessible via text and checked in on us during our stay. He even provided a very nice welcome package of drinks and snacks! Thanks Tony!!
