The location is very nice and quiet. The hotel has plenty of spaces - indoors and outdoors - for relaxation or socialising. The food menu was surprisingly good (considering rural Scotland) for a vegetarian.
The bar and restaurant staff tend to be very slow to respond. However, when they do, they are attentive and pleasant.

The breakfast was exceptional. Lots of choices on the one that was included in the room booking. We stayed two days to explore the National Park. It was easy to get to major places and Tarland was free of tourist crowds so it was peaceful to return there. We traveled for 3.5 weeks in the UK and the two dinners we had there were the best of the trip. Parking is no problem and was right in front of the hotel. The town has walking trails so we took a wonderful walk to the nearby stone circle on paths the bordered fields. The staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. the rooms were quiet and in excellent condition. If we get to come back, we will stay here.
There wasn't anything to complain about here.

The location is great as we were visiting a family member nearby.we stayed last year as well as we really liked the hotel.
Room 4 was lovely with a comfortable bed. Tea and coffee facilities,plenty of sockets for charging.
Shout out to Mo who served us breakfast great fun and served us with a lovely smile. ❤️
Not staying an extra night.
