The Ardennan House Hotel is a charming Scottish family-run hotel which has been renovated to a nice standard with modern, comfortable furnishings. It is a 5 minute drive/25 minute walk from the center of Inverurie and we are only 11.

Both breakfast and evening meals were very good, Some aspects of the room were getting "tired looking" although reasonably clean and comfortable.

Comfortable room, friendly staff and fantastic evening meal.
Unable to charge drinks or food to room, the breakfast room had no natural light or windows, when the main restaurant had a lovely conservatory!

Plenty of secure parking, restaurant and staff for dinner were 10/10 - amazing service, and excellent food
Single bed in room had old, and poor sprung mattress unlike double which was ok - didn't get much sleep, and sheets were Polly cotton and really sweaty and clammy. TV was really old (TV guide didn't work) - No sockets in the room easily accessible to plug in chargers for phones and tablets, trailing socket was available under the desk on the wall if you crawled around. Place was unmanaged at night, and there is some complex code on the front door - really easy to get yourself locked out - no ring doorbell or intercom to call someone :( Breakfast was ok, poor quality ingredients (sausage / bacon) was really disappointing seeing how great the restaurant food was in the evening. Bread was wafer thin, and not suitable for toasting - pastries were vacuum sealed and mass produced - again disappointing, would of expected the kitchen to at least part bake something.
