Excellent location, walking disctance to the Luís I. bridge, the Beira Rio market and, of course,all the Port cellars.
Kind and hepful staff, 24/7.
The design of the placee is a pelasure to the eye: tradition with modern minimalism. A green garden in the back with even a picnic table under the trees to gather and enjoy a glass of wine.
The upper rooms have great view, too.
The breakfast was really underwhelming for a 4-star hotel. Limited amount of vegetables, refilled slowly.
The breakfast palce is not connected to the green yard which is a pity really.
There is a 24/7 self-service bar at the hotel whih is a practical and apparantly cost-efficient solution for the hotel - we would have expected just a little bit more of on-site service.
Seagulls can really wake you up with sunrise - they are treat to watch but this can be slightly inconvenient.

A quiet, clean and spacious room (#Y) with beautiful views over Porto and the Douro River.
The breakfast buffet was varied, well presented and well prepared.
The door could not be locked from the inside.
The bathtub was quite slippery, but there were no handrails to hold onto, which could be a safety concern.
