Our breakfasts were superlative. 4 courses of way too much food. Served so beautifully on our table in the parlor it was almost like having the home to ourselves. Mike greeted us when we arrived and he and my husband were completely simpatico about house renovations and beautiful architecture, which the house was full of. Our bed was so comfortable and even though the house was built in 1870, we appreciated the a/c. The property was so well maintained inside and out and our hosts, Mike and Jean, are people we would like to call friends. The town of Ovid was just so lovely. We hope to go again.

Mike and Jean are very personable and accommodating. They are knowledgeable of local events, and provide coupons for all the local wineries. The fresh flowers, the complimentary beverages and snacks, and the extra personal care items available really make you feel pampered! The Manor is beautifully restored. They have mastered blending the modern facilities into the home without losing the histrionic, architectural beauty of the Manor. The beds are very comfy. The brunches were delicious. We loved the fresh, home grown, fruits and veggies! The blackberry brûlée was fantastic! We will definitely return to the Manor when we come to the area!

Place was an old mansion redone w all the beautiful history still present . It was beautifully decorated. Our room was perfect. If you forgot anything, they could provide it! The breakfast was 5 star. The owners were 5 star!

Mike and Jean are a lovely host and hostess, providing a warm and welcoming home away from home. The brunches were always super. And the accommodations all we could ask for.

The B&B is a beautifully restored mansion with towering ceilings, huge windows and large rooms. Our family of 5 stayed in the Roosevelt and Cayuga rooms for 3 nights. The Roosevelt room is divided into a king bedroom with bath and a separate living room across the hall. The living room has an additional double bed, dining set, couch and big TV. It was perfect for us since our 3 teens were able to use/share the Roosevelt living room and Cayuga bedroom (also a king) and bath. Breakfast was delicious with HUGE portions. The rooms had so many extras -- drinks in the fridge, snacks, chocolates, robe and slippers. The king bed was very comfortable. Jean and Mike were wonderful and welcoming. Nice Italian takeout place a short walk away for a simple dinner, and there was a concert on the town common one night we were there. Very easy driving distance to the Seneca wine trail, Ithaca, Geneva, and Watkins Glen.
A small dresser in the bedrooms would be a nice addition; I like to unpack if I'm staying for more than 1 night. And perhaps a small desk or table and chair for writing or using a laptop.

Jean, Mike and Teddy were amazing hosts, super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, each day we got something new on the menu and it was plentiful with veggies from their own garden. The property was large and was great for our puppy to run around while we sat at the fireplace enjoying some really good Riesling!. Teddy, the family dog kept our puppy company and baby set our little one. Highly recommend this place!
Nothing that I can even think of

Mike and Jean were great hosts, they are friendly and very helpful. Tillinghast is warm and inviting in a great location between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes with access to the wine trails, boat ramps, and dining in either the north or south ends of the lakes. The brunches were fantastic! From the candies on the beds, snacks & treats, robes & slippers to helpful advise on exploring the area, I highly recommend!

A beautiful cosy guest house. I especially appreciated the effort to prepare vegetarian meals for my husband. Brunch was definitely a highlight! The area is stunning and we made use of winery and restaurant recommendations. We'll be back in the summer.

The owners were super friendly. We traveled for my birthday and they went out of their way to decorate
The room was advertised as having a sitting space (sofa) but what wasn't clear is that the sitting space (and the only closet) were in a room across the hall. Also, little details like refilling water bottles and providing clean coffee cups were missed. The owners said that they were new to hospitality and that showed despite great efforts.

The room was extremely comfortable and
clean. Our host decorated the room for our anniversary and it was appreciated,
as well as the bottle of Brut

Our host has meticulously restored this elegant home, which is on the National Historic Register. Our 2 breakfasts were truly scrumptious! It is the perfect wine country get-away!
There were many flowers as well as a vegetable garden in the yard.

Ovid is in the middles of a lot of sites in the Finger Lakes region between Seneca and Cayuga lakes. We stayed in the Roosevelt room and had Hannah’s Parlor to ourselves too. Thanks to Jean and Mike for your hospitality.

This was a wonderful experience!! The owners were wonderful and the breakfasts were extraordinary. The amount and variety of amenities was exceptional as well as the choice of having breakfast delivered to your room. All you could ever want for a stay to relax and feel pampered!!

Exceeded our expectations! The Seneca Room was super clean, bright, and tastefully decorated. There is a fridge filled with water, juice, and capachino, a Kurig with a variety of coffee and tea, and a basket of various snacks all at no additional charge. Breakfast each morning was amazing with many of the ingredients coming fresh from their garden. Mike and Jean were a pleasure to talk to and went above and beyond.
Not really a negative but IF we had to list a negative it would be location, although it was perfect for us. The house is located mid way up Seneca Lake, it's 20 to 30 mins to get to everything but that was perfect for us as we were there 4 days and travelled all around the area, both north and south from the house. There are still wineries and farmers stands close by and we enjoyed visiting these "lesser" travelled areas.

Jean served a hearty and delicious breakfast, more than either of us could eat. It was nicely presented and we had our own private dining area.
We were celebrating a birthday and we were greeted with a birthday cake, banners, sparkling wine and a beautiful bouquet of roses. Outstanding! The Inn was located between 2 of the Finger Lakes, an easy drive to points of interest and restaurants!

We traveled to the region for a friends' wedding. The location of the Tillinghast Manor was ideal (10 minutes away from the winery where the event was held). Breakfast was delicious and service overall was above and beyond our expectations.
The bed was very comfortable, but the sheet kept sliding off the mattress (possibly slightly bigger sheets?).

Amazing owners/hosts. We have never been treated better by anyone else. Very personable, knowledgeable, accommodating. Jean and Mike gave many helpful tips regarding hiking, dining, wine tasting. They noticed our breakfast preferences and cooked our favorite items for a "farewell breakfast".
Great location.
Beautiful historic mansion with clean, spacious rooms.Very comfortable bed- felt like sleeping on a cloud.
Efficient, quiet air conditioning.
Amazing breakfast/brunch.
Every morning we had a selection of savory and sweet food items- omelettes, fritatas, stratas, crepes, yogurt granola parfaits, fruit tarts, smoothies, enough to take smoothies as a healthy snack for our hikes and have some leftover sweet treats for later with tea.
We were also treated to a surprise fresh berries, cheese and even bottle of wine in the evening upon return from our hikes.
This place deserves "double stars".

What a great place in the middle of winery country! A great place. Beautiful house. Super comfy rooms. We were in the Roosevelt room with Hannah's Suite. It was so nice to just rest and relax in Hannah's suite for the rainy afternoon. Mike and Joan think of everything! A huge basket of snacks to choose from to get you between meals, a fridge full of drinks to choose from, a Keurig with large selection of coffee/tea, crackers and cheese, plus wine is also available. Breakfast.....OH. MY. GOSH! There just aren't words!!! My husband mentioned he doesn't like fruit other than cherries, and the next afternoon, a bowl of cherries was waiting for him! Very friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming hosts. Definitely recommend staying here.

I appreciate the food let in the room for us. It allowed us to not have to go over budget for things like snacks. I liked all the valentines decorations. The wine, the cupcakes the chocolate. Just all the little tiny touches that make a day more comfortable. Access to a fridge and microwave. The plates, silverware. Things I didn’t have to think about. The linens were soft. I enjoyed the robe and slippers. The owners were very attentive and friendly.
I appreciated the room! It was nice to have a separate sitting area. We took advantage of the Netflix account as well.
My only “complaint”. I had a hard time sleeping at night. The temperature on the unit glowed very bright.
