Nestled in Cambria, this charming house for $374 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Spring Special thru May23rd, book 4 or more nights get automatic 10% of nightly rate. No Pets Allowed. Built in 1906, this historic house was originally the lightkeeper's residence at the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse, gateway to Big Sur. You will be touched by the charm and grace of this beautifully restored ocean-view Victorian. Wood floors, authentic antiques, ocean view, and many other special touches add to the romance of this immaculate and spacious landmark home. Downstairs the house features two bedrooms, one queen and two twin beds, a full bathroom with claw-footed tub and shower, family room with flat screen TV and DVD player, dining room and full kitchen with large butcher block island perfect for dining and entertaining. Upstairs is a large master suite with queen bed, TV and VCR, sitting area, full bathroom with separate stall shower and large tub, and a balcony with sweeping ocean views.Short walk to Moonstone Beach, beautiful yard, TV, VCR, ocean view, washer / dryer. This was our second stay at this unique Victorian home.It is a cozy and well-located home with lovely landscaping and an old world charm. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the ocean view.As has been mentioned by a couple of other reviewers, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom may not be appropriate for someone with balance/mobility issues...as they seem to be original to the home and are not easy to navigate.We have had an issue with ants in the kitchen/dining room (and upstairs bathroom) during both our visits...even though our food items were securely contained.Also, be aware it will take several hours for the home to warm up after the heat is initially turned on...after which time, the home will remain comfortable as long as the heat is not turned off again for any length of time.Upon checkout, we passed along these issues to Property Management.

This house takes you back in time. Even though the owners have decorated the house with antiques, the beds are modern and comfortable. The top level has windows to open so you can enjoy the sight and sounds of the beach. Close to town and a block from the beach, this is the perfect location for a home away from home.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at this lovely house very much. Aside from an issue with the thermostat (which was fixed promptly by the handyman), we had a very comfortable stay.The historic details of the house and its proximity to Moonstone Beach were wonderful. The high ceilings and large windows gave the home a very airy feel. The shower and bathtub in the upstairs bathroom were much more modern and convenient than the downstairs bathing option. I mention this because some may find using the stairs to be a bit of a challenge.We would definitely try to stay in this charming home again.

We could walk to town walk to beach walk to a nice hike and walk to a nice dinner. Or make dinner at home the kitchen had everything we needed when we decide to stay home and cook a little relaxing dinner. This was a great little trip to a cozy home.

The home has a great eat-in kitchen, three nice large bedrooms and just a great overall homey feeling. It also has a very nice fenced yard and a large deck to enjoy the outdoors as well as the indoors. It is just a short walk down the street to Moonstone Beach. We have always had a very positive experience and will continue to make this our home away from home when we visit the Central Coast.
