Nice property. The walk to the beach is nice and flat. We met a few of the neighbors who were very nice.
Overall it was a nice stay.

My family members all complained about the hard beds and uncomfortable couches. I would suggest at the very least, get rid of all the plastic artificial plants and clutter decor as it just collects dust and isn’t clean. The house could be easily renovated with little money as it’s no longer the 1980’s.

This was our first trip to Florida as a family and this house was absolutely great! The pool is located almost directly across the street and the beach was just a short few blocks away. We walked to the beach every day and it was a very nice walk. The house had everything that we needed including a grill and washer and dryer. The wifi wasn't working the first day we were there and I emailed the property and they emailed us back almost immediately and told us how to fix it and offered to come help if it didn't work. We were completely happy and can't wait to come back and stay again!

This home was beautiful and the host was very helpful. My only recommendation would be a little deep cleaning during the off season.

Great location but the house house itself has issues. We had a bug problem (ants and cockroaches). The property manager responded right away when I I emailed them about it.
Under the kitchen sink there was a leak and the lights in master bath were flickering.
The outside of the house needs a little updating as well.
Hopefully they get the issues fixed because it’s in the perfect location and the management/owner are friendly and helpful.
Not sure we will stay in this rental again but we will definitely stay in this neighborhood again..

We experienced having roaches. The grill was absolutely disgusting. The bed sheets weren’t washed from the previous people. Found toenail clippings, fake lashes, food crumbs still on the bed. Trash was under the beds and coffee table. The bushes out front had trash in them. Getting in the front door was a hassle anytime we needed to. Wasn’t convenient to get to the beach.

The house was in a quaint little neighborhood 5 minutes from the beach. We had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the people were very nice. We will return.

To make it worse, when we got home and brought our bags inside a roach came out of our suitcase and another bag that had been sitting in the dining room. The suitcase had been sitting on top of the Chester drawers in the back bedroom the entire time. We have had to spray our entire house right after we got home.
This rental is the most run down looking house in the neighborhood. Beware they also only have room for 2 cars. You will be required to drive 13 minutes in Destin traffic just to drop a 3rd car off for a few hours as no overnight parking. They say this is bc of the sprinklers in the ground. Not sure why they care about the sprinklers as there is NO grass it is all pine straw. Most of the nicer houses had grass. But it was ok for the cleaning lady to park her car out front of the house in the pine straw (cause yes we saw her) but nobody else!
Worst vacation trip won’t be returning obviously.

The house is nice and big! It is a little dated but was clean when we arrived. There was a very limited amount of cookware in the kitchen and not enough bath towels for 6 people. Loved being able to take our fur babies instead of boarding them for a week!

The Good: the location is a 5-7 minute walk from Crystal Beach. The house is cute and the back patio is shaded and pleasant. The Bad: Bring your own skillet and essentials if you are cooking. There are only pots-no skillets-and no pantry staples left by other guests like I have found at every other VRBO I've stayed in(this may be a Covid development so no stars off for the lack of pantry staples). And The Ugly: When we arrived, I kicked off my shoes, like you do to keep the floor clean, there seemed to be a lot of sand on the floor, but-it IS a beach house, so a certain amount of sand would seem to be acceptable. I walked to the primary bedroom and the kitchen and my feet started to feel a little-slimy, really sandy, and they slid a bit on the tile when I walked. I sat down and looked at the bottom of my feet and they were BLACK! I mean, walking-barefoot-down-the-middle-of-Main-Street barefoot as a little kid, downright filthy! Now, my family will agree that I am not God's gift to housekeeping, but this was beyond the pale. We drove in from Houston and so arrived around 7:30, black feet aside, we needed dinner. Got that and started to get ready for bed about 10. When my 15 year-old daughter pulled back the covers on the bunk bed, the comforter was covered in sand. She thought maybe it came from a suitcase or something, so she pulled back the sheets, only to find sand between the sheets. It was late, so she decided to try the lower bunk. The lower bunk was worse! The sand was caked and crusted on the comforter AND between the sheets.Thank God for the single laundry pod at the property so she had somewhere to sleep. I called Geoffrey, the property manager, who said he would try to have someone the next day, but that it was a busy day. I responded that this was a job that should have already been done and should take priority. In the meantime, we discovered that the rugs in the house were sticky and some had a gooey substance caked on them. We piled them up in the living room to be removed. A service did come the next day and vacuumed and mopped, which removed the sand, but there is something on the floor that needs to be stripped as my feet returned to black in short order. I bought black socks to wear for the rest of my stay. I'm unable to attach a pic, but let me assure you, it is disgusting. Clearly the property manager needs to employ a different cleaning crew. Also, you get no discount or compensation for arriving to filth...

Nice house. Nice neighborhood. Little trail in neighborhood leads to beach. Ice maker was stopped up but there were ice trays to use for ice instead. Everything else was great. Management is excellent! Great communication before and after the stay! Will use this company again!

The house is right across the street from the neighborhood pool which was very convenient, the beach is a quick walk a few streets up from the house, we rented bikes from rent gear here.com and they were delivered and picked up, everything we needed was a quick bike ride away. Close to restaurants, grocery, shops, we would rent again.

This house is in a great location. We have rented in this neighborhood 4 times over the past several years. We love this neighborhood.The house in general looked nice, was clean and had a nice decor. The interior looked like the pictures posted in the listing. The furnishings were, in our opinion, near the end of their useful life or maybe just at the low end of the buying range. Though we did not sleep on the hide-a-bed couch it was very uncomfortable to sit on. Also we found the beds uncomfortable.There were plenty of plates, glassware and silverware but the cookware was limited. We ended up buying new skillets to use. I would imagine that the property manager may have fixed this by now.There were a few items that we contacted the property manager on and he responded quickly and had these taken care of right away. We were very happy with his response.Although we did not ask, we assumed that this property was purely an investment and that the owners were not likely to stay at the property and drew this conclusion just based on the condition of the large furnishings.Overall the location is great, the property manager was responsive and helpful and it is always good to getaway for a brief vacation. We would stay there again if the couch and beds were updated.

This house is in a great location. We have rented in this neighborhood 4 times over the past several years. We love this neighborhood.
