You'll have the convenience of WiFi, a TV, Blu-ray players, and Netflix streaming, as well as a selection of books and games for all ages. We loved our short stay here. The place was clean. Only complaint was the microwave was not working. We already recommended this place to our friends. We’ll probably stay here again for our next vacation to Tahoe.

Located at a very quiet community, we saw a bear in the morning. But the towel is not clean, I took a pic of the towel, has blood on it, and some hairs on the bathroom floor.

The house could use a bit of updating. The beds and pillows especially. But overall the house is cozy and secluded for being in a neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay. Excellent for children. The house has a pack and play a high chair baby gates.

We used the new looking gas grill and it worked great. Rooms and bedding were clean as were the bathrooms. It was pretty warm while we were there in early August and there is no ac. Ceiling fans and couple of small fans helped but a window fan or whole house fan would be better. The upstairs was pretty warm until early morning hrs. Dishwasher leaks and the light in the fridge wasnt working so we let housekeeping know. The house shows a little wear and tear and the windows could use cleaning but over all it was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Yes we would stay again.

The best way to describe our experience is that it was like friends renting out their cabin to us for a few days. They had everything included like tools, sleds, snow shoes etc if needed for any reason. This was a beautiful cabin that we would consider purchasing ourselves but don’t have to thanks to Vacasa. Great experience!

Property was very cozy. Plenty of space for 6 adults. Bathroom upstairs is en suite to a bedroom so the other bedroom occupants would have to use bathroom on lower level. Did not understand this when renting. Worked out fine. Suggested improvements: Pillows need to be replaced and all cutting knives need to be replaced. We could have chewed through things faster. Overall would stay here again.

I would rent again for our small family visit to go play in the snow and ski and local resort. Clean, Forced Heating very efficient, Kitchen very well stocked and user friendly. We had a great time

Weekend family getaway
The house was perfect for my family! The home was warm, had up to date appliances, provided kid friendly items like high chair, pack and play, games, potty seats, sleds and much more. We lucked out because one of the nights had snowed and we woke up to a winter wonderland with multiple feet of soft pillow like snow. We watched movies with hot chocolate, which we bought from the Safeway less than ten minutes away, played games, cooked meals on the modern stove and slept in on the comfy beds. The heating system worked like a charm. We took the kids to a sledding park off of National Rd which was about a 20 minute drive. We had such an incredible time enjoying the house, it’s amenities and nature around us. Will definitely book the property again.

No Heat - No TV
Heater did not work. TV did not work (Live Streaming) other than that nice, clean, cozy place.

We could not turn on the heater. Very cold in the mornings. Also we could not get the TV to work properly. No heat, no TV. Not worth the price we paid!!!

Lovely Cabin
We had a wonderful stay. Only complaint would be it needs more eating utensils. There were only 4 forks and no regular sized spoons. Nice quiet neighborhood and lovely, cozy cabin.

The house was nice but not cleaned at all!
We walked into the house and the door was blocked with week old garbage. Every bed was unmade and covered in hair. Every single towel was used and in a heap on the bathroom floor. The living room was covered in a million pieces of popcorn. We called and the cleaners didn’t come until the next night just in time for us to check out. We did not pay this much to go on vacation and clean someone else’s house!!

Pluses: Nicely decorated and well stocked. Even had basic spices in kitchen! Bathrooms and kitchen were modernized giving a luxurious feel. Good location - away from bustle but a quick drive to Squaw Valley resort and Truckee.
Minuses: downstairs queen bed was very uncomfortable and has a noisy frame/ box spring. I found it impossible to sleep on. The Internet was poor and keep crashing while we tried to stream Netflix.

A breath of fresh air
We loved this cabin. If you are traveling at night the cabin can be hard to find when it’s dark in the winter. Everything was clean (cleaning company), you will find just about everything you need, the coffee and flour were low (there were no paper towels, foil or ziplock bags). We made a lot of food and it did go to waist because we Did not pack these items. The cabin can get toasty, heater warms both floors up very well (there is No fireplace). As for the TV I read a ton of reviews about how no one could get it to work, we came prepared with a teenager that had it up and running and fixed it every time the adults messed it up. The teenager said to put the TV on HDMI 3 and use the small silver remote and push the home button and the TV will turn on. There is a washer and dryer (make sure to bring laundry detergent and fabric sheets). There was an abundance of fresh towels, blankets, travel size shampoo, conditioner, body soaps. If you like to cook like I do bring your spices with you, they had some basics but we’re missing salt and pepper. There’s no potato peeler, there was a wine opener, wine glasses, coffee cups and mason jars to drink from, plates, bowls, all utensils (no napkins or oil to cook with). The tub upstairs does not stay plugged the water slowly comes out so don’t get too excited to take a bath in that deep tub. The water is extremely hot however does not stay hot enough for more than 2 people to get a hot shower so we had to space our showers out. As for the space it’s self we came with a family of five and could definitely had come with more. 2 in the upstairs master, 2 more can sleep on the futon in the master, 2 in the twin bed, there’s a space between the master and double bed room that could have a blow up bed with a full possible queen, 2 more in the Down stairs bedroom and maybe 1 on the couch. The master bed and twin beds were ok, not the most comfortable but your renting someone’s house not a hotel so if you want a temperpedic stay in a hotel. This place is pretty spacious. When your parking up the hill it gets very icy, the snow shovel did not help much breaking up the frozen ice, there was no salt to throw on the pavement so we heated water and did our best to clear a safe walking path. I hope this review helps, we tried to put as much info as possible based on our experience and the comments we read in other people’s reviews. We will definitely book this cabin again. We felt like invading somebody's house... too many locked doors! Nothing that made us feel invited! No extra details. Lot of things fi be fixed. Too bad that the house didn't reach the potential of the awesome area!

We wish we choose a different cabin...
We liked the area and ... that's it. The cabin has potential but, it looks like it is only for profit, no customer service attitude! Lots of things not working, cheap quality... bad impression. Next time, we should pay more attention to details.

Cozy Cabin Retreat
My husband, our adult son, and I had a great stay at this cabin. It was well appointed, very clean, had good beds, and had the perfect amenities for our stay. The porch gets the sun most of the day which was well appreciated on this crisp fall stay. The property is within seven minutes of Old Town Truckee with Lake Tahoe being only twenty minutes away. The cabin is deleanated well between the bedroom arrangements and the patio and garden seating areas for private and family space. We had everything we needed for home cooking and dining, or there are nice restaurants in Truckee. It was a great place to stay.
