About this house rental
Nestled in Reno, this lovely house for $375 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Our Secluded 3200 sq.ft. home is open and welcoming. Sleeping 8, it is an Entertainers Delight, with Pool Table and Big Screen TVs. There are 3 Queen beds, 2 Full beds, and 1 Twin. Each bedroom has a full bath. The oversized tub in the Master bathroom or our private sauna are welcoming treats after a long, fun day on the slopes or river. Our large Great room with fireplace and new sectional reclining sofas opens to a wraparound deck that is perfect for BBQ or peaceful river viewing and beautiful sunsets. The spacious kitchen has all the dishes, cookwares, cutlery, and amenities to feed your hungry guests. A coffeemaker is also there to get our mornings started. Located at the end of the street next to a walking bridge that leads across the river to a naturesque park. A walking/bicycle path runs along the river all the way to downtown Reno. As well, the hills border the area for exploring, mountain biking and hiking. We have bicycles and a BBQ available for your use as well as all necessary amenities. Also, we have a strict "No Pets" policy. We have had issues in the past and have had to disallow all animals. Thank you for your understanding. Dan & Jen.

Great location, beautiful scenery, close to downtown but far enough to feel like you’re in the country. Definitely would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here with his 76 year old mother and my 75 year old parents. Seemed ideal - the location is gorgeous, a few cute Christmas decorations around, 3 bedroom/3 bath with two rooms on the ground floor, so the 70-somethings didn’t have to climb stairs.
BUT:
1. The biggest room had no heat. Like none. And overnight lows were in the 20s. Owners were super responsive and sent someone the second day to confirm lack of heat and bring us 2 space heaters (one which was cracked!), but the room was still freezing as we had to turn them off every time we left the house.
2. Three of us tried to turn on the downstairs shower without success - we finally were able to get it unstuck on the last day. The sink in that bathroom also didn’t have a functioning stopper.
3. The master bedroom was very warm and the shower didn’t drain properly - several inches of standing water while you were in there.
4. Although the house was well supplied - some of the pots, blankets, etc. look like they are from the 70s. I think that is also the last time the coffee pot was descaled.
Overall - it was nice to be together and close to the river, but stressful to be in a house with so many issues with our elderly parents. I think it’s probably due for some maintenance between renters.

The house is lovely, the setting is absolutely idyllic, access to biking and hiking trails is amazing, kitchen is very well equipped, and owners are friendly and helpful. We had a dream vacation.

The house was perfect for our family of adult children and their partners. We enjoyed the deck very much and the access to the trail and parks nearby. The only minor drawback is that because the house sits next to a public trail, it might not be as quiet and there is more foot traffic. However, it didn't bother us and we enjoyed our visit very much! A great place for families and couples.

We are return guests to this property. We were there a couple years ago at Christmas and now in June for our son’s wedding. The location is amazing. The river and the hiking paths are so enjoyable. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, the beds are comfortable, and the host’s communication is prompt and friendly. Since our son plans to continue to live in Reno - we will continue to stay here as long as they will have us!

Communication went well. One of the showers did not drain so was unusable. Contacted owner they were aware of it could not get plumber out until after our stay. We had 8 adults so was a pain but owner was quick to respond Other than that enjoyed the stay. House was clean, beds were ok and location was great.

We stayed here to celebrate my cousin’s 40th birthday and it was the perfect place to relax on the deck and enjoy the views. Dan and Jen were great hosts who responded quickly with any questions we had during our stay.

Kind of a bummer when you brought ribs, steaks and chicken for a spring bbq. In parts of the house it feels like you’re about to fall through the floor. The main recliner in the living room dumped my friend on his head when he sat down because it’s broken. I’m surprised I wasn’t charged extra for that. I had one friend get sick and the owner tried charging us quite a bit for a set of 30 year old sheets. This is the type of place that is ruining the short term rental market and making people go back to hotels. If you stay her prepare for making this place ready for the next guests yourself or the owner will charge you for it.

Great place to stay if you’re in Reno. Very close to everything. Stayed with family had a great time. There was a water issue which put a damper on our stay but the owner issued a partial refund for the inconvenience. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This place is amazing! We have been having a ladies’ retreat for 7 years and this is definitely the best one ever! Dan and Jen were so responsive. The beds were so comfortable. We’ve never been to a place that was so well stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms. And it’s all right on the Truckee River! Do not pass this place up!

The home sits at the end of the street and looking out the back window/deck is a beautiful view of the river! Bonus sauna room, plenty of room for a big family yet cozy enough for a couples getaway. Would stay here again if we return to Reno!

What a great experience! The property was well kept, modern, and comfortable. The location was excellent on the Truckee River. We enjoyed the evenings watching the wildlife swim, fly or walk by. Very quiet, pretty surroundings, plenty of walking trails. My entire family loved this place and wants to come back. And we shall. Thanks for a great relaxing time at your place.
