Situated in Scottsdale, this lovely condo for $125 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. The Maya is a charming mature community, conveniently located to Old Town, restaurants, sports events and entertainment. This unit is an adult only unit. Newly renovated, this unit will accommodate four comfortably. Although we are not on site, we have a property manager, Stephanie, who is local and coordinates everything from the initial meet-and-greet to addressing any questions or issues you may have during your stay. LIVING / DINING AREA The living room has a 55-inch LED Smart TV and a sound bar, a sectional sofa with ottoman for extra seating and a chair that easily makes comfortable conversation among six people. The dining table is set up for four people and breakfast bar will seat two. KITCHEN The kitchen is well-appointed with dishes and cutlery, including serving pieces. All the standard small appliances have just been bought. Conveniences also include a Keurig one-cup system and 12-cup coffee maker. For your first morning, you will find K-cups (coffee) for each; we provide Mini Moo's dairy creamer and packets of cane sugar and sugar substitute. If you prefer milk or cream, you'll want to stop at Sprout's across the road or Fry's at Indian School Road and Miller on your way to the unit. Salt and pepper, basic spices and condiments are also always included, as well as dish washing liquid and dishwasher tabs. The kitchen is also stocked with a limited supply of the following: tin foil, plastic wrap, cooking oil, and cooking spray. BEDROOMS One bedroom has a king sized bed and second bedroom has two double/full beds. Each bathroom has a hair dryer and curling iron; bed linens, bathing and pool towels are supplied. Please ensure that only the turquoise-and-white towels are taken to the pool or spa. The bath linens are strictly for use in-house. The guest en suite is a three-piece and the walk in shower has a bench. The master en suite has a large vanity area with two sinks, with the tub and toilet separated by a door. All of the beds have hypoallergenic mattress pads, and each pillow has a hypoallergenic pillow cover under the pillow cases. The unit is cleaned just before your arrival, including fresh linens. If you desire additional housekeeping services during your stay, Stephanie can arrange this for you and you pay the housekeeper directly. PATIO The fenced ground-floor patio has an roller shade which is operated by a control on the wall inside the unit; the patio is furnished with four comfortable chairs. There is a side gate that provides quick access to the hot tub area which is only about 75 feet away. The patio also has a wall-mounted fireplace which is operated by remote control or manual switch on the top right-hand corner. Settings include low heat, high heat, just visual, and of course off. The addition of the fireplace on the patio makes this a complete extra room year-round, no matter how chilly an evening may become. Put the roller shade down and you can enjoy it all evening. LAUNDRY The common laundr-o-mat is about a minute-and-a-half away on the second (stairs) and third floor (elevator) or ramp, and very-reasonably priced. Two Tide laundry tabs are provided for your convenience. You will find these in the hallway closet. There is also a broom, dustpan, vacuum, bucket and mop, as well as cleaning products if you need them. A wash is $1.25 depending on whether you want a regular or super wash; the dryer 75 cents. SUNDRIES We also provide liquid hand soap, air freshener, six rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towel, and a basic first-aid kit. We ask that you let us know if you have used anything from the first-aid kit so that we can replenish it after you've left. COMMON AREAS In the pool common area, you have the use of lounge chairs and tables, bar-b-ques, and a ping-pong table. We include plastic wine and drinking glasses for use when outside the condo-proper. GLASS IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE POOL/SPA/COMMON areas and we ask that you respect this policy. ALL DRINKS AND FOOD MUST BE KEPT 4 FEET AWAY FROM THE POOL and SPA WATER/WATER'S EDGE. This is a Maricopa County By-Law and is enforced with violations/fines by Maya Management. Pool and Spa Hours of operation are 8:00am to 10:00pm. AREA INFORMATION You will find Sprouts Food Market within an easy (2-minute) walking distance, just across Miller Avenue; as well, there are several restaurants and a sports bar in that same plaza. There is a Fry's Grocery on Miller at Indian Road, about a mile south on Miller. Turn left out of the driveway. And there's a CVS Pharmacy across from Fry's. Cab rides are very inexpensive if you don't want to walk, and the golf-cart shuttles are always available for the trip home. Trolleys are free and The Miller Road Trolley stops mere steps from our driveway out front of The Circle K. The Trolley phone number and schedule is in an information binder provided in the unit. The Maya Condominium is very close to the entertainment and fashion districts. It is a wonderful community with many activities going on where you will make friends, or you can keep to yourself as you wish. There are many golf courses nearby, car races, spring training, hiking, and walking trails. And there's shopping, lots and lots of shopping to do with Fashion Square so close by.
