About this house rental
Nestled in Napa Valley, this charming house for $950 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. A beautiful 4 acre property located only an hour away from San Francisco and about an hour and 15 minutes away from the bay area. This home is newly remodeled in 2020. The kitchen and two bathrooms were completely remodeled in February 2020. This wonderful wine country home is only a short drive (2 miles) from downtown Sonoma (and Sonoma Square) located in the coveted east side of town. Its also a short drive or a bike ride away from many wineries. Napa downtown is about 10-15 minutes away and it is about a 5 minute drive from Domaine Carneros (sparkling wine vinery). Other wineries within a 2-5 minute drive include Scribe, Gunlach Bundschu, Nicholson Ranch, Jacuzzi, Cline, Larson and Gloria Ferrer. We started renting in June 2015, and have had the pleasure of having dozens of groups a year who have loved the estate.. A fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a wine country meal for you and your family. This home is a perfect week long or weekend getaway. It is very comfortable for up to 6 adults and 4 kids OR 8 adults (we allow up to 10 adults). We are neighbors with Chris and Lori Melancon, who run Lolafarms, Sonoma next door. Feel free to contact them for a farm tour or buy fresh meat/produce. They have 3 beautiful dogs, goats, pigs, chickens, bees and mouth-watering organic vegetables. http://www.lolasonoma.com/ The pond is unfortunately non-functional at this time. We are looking to fix it in the coming months. Features of the home - Indoor living space: Walking into the front door you'll immediately notice the openness of the floor plan, with a formal dining room and kitchen that opens up to the large living room that flows into the pool area. The home boasts gorgeous views from every room. From the main living spaces, enjoy views of the 2-acre pinot noir vineyards. From the guest bedrooms, kitchen and dining area, enjoy amazing views of the vineyards rolling over the hills across the street. The Master bathroom includes a walk-in shower and large whirlpool tub. Large flat-screen TV in the living room with cable service. There's also WiFi (Wireless Internet). A spacious living room with a fireplace. An open kitchen floor plan that opens into a very large family room hosting two seating spaces - one facing a fireplace and the other facing the TV. Choose your relaxation spot and enjoy with a glass of wine! Outdoor living space: The outdoor pool is equipped with a 8-seater dining table and plenty of lounge chairs and outdoor seating. Cool off in the pool following by a relaxing dip in the 6 person jacuzzi. The pool can be heated for an additional charge. At night, enjoy the sounds of country living sitting outdoors by the outdoor gas fire pit! You might spot a few bats flying overhead and enjoy the clear night sky and stars! Our kids enjoy watching red tail hawks, vultures, black birds, jack rabbits and the occasional deer. The property is home to beautiful trees. When you relax by the pool you will notice how beautiful and calming these trees can be. You will notice a Red Tail Hawk nest high up in the trees amongst other nests. One of the best feature of the property is the Windmill and Pond located in the back of the property. This serene pond and windmill are a great feature for kids to explore. You can enjoy a picnic by the pond, while the kids spot frogs and fish. You may even spot deer or ducks or that occasionally stop by for a drink. You may try your hand at fishing but no swimming is allowed. There is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and a BBQ in the pool area, perfect for a pool party.

Sanjay, our host, is an excellent communicator. This is essential to a good VRBO experience.
The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots, utensils, and glasses. The dining table seats 10 so enjoyed family dinners.
Linens and towels were good.
There is a lot of outdoor space and the property at 4 acres provides a nice stroll through the vineyard.

This property was perfectly situated between Napa and Sonoma and allowed us easy access to great wineries and food options. Our host was super communicative and helpful in getting us situated. We loved our weekend getaway!

The property is gorgeous! The single story open floor plan has 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 beautiful bathrooms (two with walk-in showers). The view from the living room of the pool and then vineyards and mountains is spectacular! The jacuzzi was clean with room for at least 6 people. The instructions on how to use the amenities was printed and accessible on the dining room table. The host even offered and came over and walked us through his vineyard and wine-making process. Would definitely use it again! Overalla 5 star plus experience!

This property was fantastic! I wish we had more time to spend there! Everything (inside and outside) of the house was in great shape and clean. There was so much space to spread out and visit. We only had 8 people and the house could have had many more. It was a great location!

The home was very comfortable for two families with adult children plenty of space and separate areas for different activities. The one "kids" room was sort of dorm style but they made it work.
The outside areas were great for hanging out. Yes, the cushions were a little dirty but nothing a good shake could not fix.
There is a new BBQ and it works perfectly as did all the other amenities. The property looks good considering watering was not permitted in the area until recently.

The property was fantastic! The house was nice and open with plenty of room for a girl’s weekend away. The hot tub and outdoor areas were also nice for sitting around and chatting. The location was perfect with plenty of wineries and great restaurants (and a grocery store) all within minutes. The pond looked to have been drained, but the property was still perfect for an outdoor run and exploring.
The only complaint is that the cushions on the outdoor furniture could use a good cleaning, but we simply chose other seats…so not a major thing at all.

Great for adults and families alike, this house is tucked away with its own private entrance. Plenty of parking and beds for sleeping, large open gathering spaces and outdoor fun. Came here for an adult weekend and may come back with the kiddos. Large pool with automatic pool cover, jacuzzi under covered patio. Beautiful grounds with a small vineyard and great views. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

Good News first: It is an old house that has gone through a major renovation and upgrade to all the interior rooms - new bathrooms, new kitchen new wall finishes. All well done to a high level. The swimming pool is huge and well maintained.
The Bad News: The image of the pond and windmill is a very old photo as the pond is abandoned overgrown mess as is the adjacent garden area that once was probably very nice. The exterior furniture is a combination of some new and some very old and very dirty. The two BBQ's were in operable and very dirty - unusable. The hot tub itself was OK but the cover was dirty slimy mess. Property manager brought a new BBQ the next day. Very weak property management team with more work needed to keep the facility in step with the competition for a place costing this much when you add in all the costs. With just a little more investment in the landscaping and the maintenance this could be the place we come back to for all our family holidays but not in the current condition.

We loved this home - besides a few things that are quite normal with VRBO rentals (torn screens, small amount of hot water, etc.) this was a beautiful home with room to take a short morning walk through the on-property vines. The owner even makes his own Pinot Noir! The beds were SUPER comfy and the kitchen was very well stocked! Would recommend for a family (beware the pool does not have a gate if you have younger kiddos) or a friends trip.

We enjoyed the spacious house and kitchen was great for cooking. The newly renovated bathrooms were very nice. The road can be a little noisy if your room is facing the street. The house and surroundings are in need of some upkeep and repairs. Great location to visit Somoma or Napa.

Celebrating my 40th with (7) girlfriends and the house fit us perfectly. It has space, plenty of sitting areas. Kitchen was great and it has everything needed to cook your meals and charcuterie boards. Outdoor areas for yoga and strolling the vineyards for zen.

This was the fifth year of Sonoma Summer for my east and west coast family and by far the best. The house is large, immaculate and well stocked. The outdoors are spacious nicely separated from neighbors with outdoor speaker, ping pong table and a pool that works for all ages.

This spacious, beautiful home, picturesque property, and great location near Sonoma were just right for our family vacation. The sparkling clean pool, hot tub, bocce ball court and views of hills and vineyard were just lovely. The adults and kids had a blast here.

Great Get-Away Location
The house is large, well stocked and comfortable - probably better in person than in the photos accompanying the listing. The kitchen is enormous and has everything we needed!
The grounds could use a little maintenance - but overall, were as we expected from the photos. The pool was a highlight for everyone. I would definitely stay here again.

Great wine country house for groups
Stayed here with friends for 3 nights and was easily able to access vineyards and restaurants in Sonoma and Napa. The house and pool are awesome! Sanjay was a great communicator and answered any questions we had promptly. Would recommend.

This home was perfect for the 10 of us this weekend. It was so spacious, the kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of toiletries and towels for everyone for the weekend. The backyard and vineyard views were more than we could have asked for. I would highly recommend choosing this location if you have a large group.

I called numerous times and would not pick up nor return my call after leaving voice mail. Had he returned my call and said he could not fix it at this time it would have been okay. But to leave me hanging was not nice.
Pool was covered with cover. I feel as if the pool cover should have been off as it would have been much nicer to look at even though we were not going to use pool.
Front door would not lock upon leaving.
No instructions on how to use TV. A little explanation on what controls to use would have been helpful.
But overall the property was nice and the usable space excellent. Beautiful kitchen and well stocked. Would recommend but communication between owner and renter need to be greatly improved.

We had a wonderful stay here for a girls trip! The location was perfect (close to Sonoma city center and many wineries). The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. We had 9 women and only two people had to share a bed. The backyard area had many different hang out spots and the fire pit area was amazing. Would be a wonderful spot for families as well. The house is close to a busy road, however, we didn’t notice at all while staying and the property is gated. Would recommend!
