The sand on the beach becomes deeper each week and by late summer can be several feet deep. During the winter, the process is reversed. The tide begins to carry the sand back out to the ocean. At times there can be no sand on the beach exposing the cobble (football sized rocks) that is ordinarily covered by sand. Our stay was fantastic! Everything you could need was provided. Location was fantastic. The property was appointed nicely. My family and I very much enjoyed nightly dolphin watching right outside on the rear patio. Don, the host, was responsive and offered lots of great advice for first time vistors. We will definitely be back.

Don was a terrific host! The unit was clean and the view fabulous! There are many little things that made staying here a pleasure. It’s a little crazy being off the main road, be careful driving is all. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you for making this doable financially for us. Thank you for everything! Very Cute condo and the views were great!! My daughter and I stayed for a week for her to take some classes down the road. The weather didn't let us enjoy the balcony or walking on the beach because it rained almost the whole week. But I am thankful for the much needed rain! The home is on the older side but very clean. It was nice to have access to the washer and dryer in the garage as well. Traffic is busy on that road getting in and out but we managed well. Thanks so much Don!

The breathtaking view combined with the constant sound of the ocean and the great location made this a perfect vacation rental for our week in California. We’re already planning a trip back and hope to stay here again!

Impossible to sleep with the noise, interior is not kept up well, also with a dirty bathroom. The master bedroom mattress sits on a plywood board. All beds are uncomfortable. Kitchen has almost no supplies. I ended up staying only 1 out of the 6 nights I booked because it was impossible to sleep there. The owner said he’d refund me days and then stopped communicating with me with no refund.

This was a wonderful home right on the beach! Don is an excellent host and was in frequent communication with me. He also provided excellent instructions and vacation ideas prior to and then again on arrival. The view was spectacular and we sat on the deck for hours enjoying it. The beach is awesome and literally 50 steps from the front door. Was the home perfect? Almost! The tub could use a refinishing and the floor was a bit dusty (we cleaned it in 5 minutes) but this is one of the best VRBO rental experiences we have had and are already planning on a return visit. I rate this a 9 out of 10.

The ocean views were magnificent with the crashing waves beneath us.
We especially loved Fred the seagull and his friend who visited us everyday!

We had such a wonderful time on our Malibu Getaway! Thank you for sharing your property with us. It can’t get better than finding a place right at the waters edge. We loved the view and the sound of the ocean and the waves crashing on the shoreline.
The property owner was prompt and very courteous in responding to any questions or communications we had.

The location, directly on the ocean, is what makes this rental interesting and possibly worth the price. Otherwise, the place is cheerless, not very clean (some parts of the interior, e.g. the floor fan, were downright filthy), not very well maintained (the balcony/terrace has not seen a clean ever? and the outside table was dirty and ugly).
The communication with the owner was faultless and very clear, and the checkin process as smooth as possible. There were plenty of towels.

Managed by the wonderful, helpful property owner & located right on the ocean, we had a wonderful, relaxing visit. Property is clean & well set-up for a comfortable stay & location on the ocean is superb! We’ll be back!

The view was great, the only problem is their is nowhere to walk to as far as restaurants go so you have to drive and because of the location on Pacific Coast Hwy it is very dangerous to pull out of, other than that we enjoyed the stay.

Had a great time. Place was clean and enjoyed my morning coffee, on the beach and on the patio. Every morning, new animals swimming in the ocean, right outside my bedroom window. Shot video, of 2 dolphins playing, as well. Great nights, of bonfires on the beach, only 2min drive. Our host was awesome and so friendly. I will definitely be staying here again.

Don is the perfect host and the property was everything you dream of. Dolphins swim by daily, the bed is comfortable, everything is labeled so you know how to turn stuff on. It was absolutely perfect.

This was a wonderful week that my family spent with 20 miles of the surf at all times. What a joy — the relaxing sounds of the surf, the dolphins and sea lions we watched and photographed from the deck. The low tide exploration of the nearby shoreline was as wonderful as advertised, and the comfort level of the space understated, if anything. We returned from whatever we did during our daylight excursions to come back to meals we made (or got from the recommended take-out places), and relaxed watching the stars come out, and the lighted surf literally bring about total nervous system calming. Will definitely try to book this place again when we can make it work.

Beautiful panoramic ocean view and enjoyed going out at low tide to explore the beach. Nice linens and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to cook a few meals. Plenty of hiking trails nearby, state parks, stunning beaches and site seeing. The highway is busy and fast. Communication was just right and the stay went smoothly. Great memories!

simply one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. HUGE windows let the sunshine in...and the gorgeous sound of the waves are ever-present. The bed is VERY comfortable...the bedroom on the water is a good size. The second bedroom is small. The TVs are perfectly placed in each room. Open. Airy. Water. Water. Water. and the sun setting over water. Wow.
