About this house rental
Nestled in Topsail Beach, this lovely house for $403 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Refreshed and ready for Summer! Nicely furnished & appointed, great for hosting families or groups of friends. 3 Bedroom, 2.5 Baths and large media room with extra sleeping space if needed. The house is well stocked with what you need from kitchen to beach gear. Super, South End location. Walk to ocean beach or sound fishing, swimming, kayak and SUP access point. We built with our family and friends in mind and hope you will enjoy this cottage as much as we do. 1 mile to Town Center-playground, restaurants, shopping, wine bar/coffee shop, marina/boat launch, mini-golf, roller skating & Jolly Roger Fishing Pier. There are a couple craft beer, bottle shops on the way in. New Surf City restaurants, breweries, a distillery, grocery stores, etc. The house Interior has all you can wish for and exterior has several deck & porch options along with a nice, grassy back yard for games. Outdoor shower under the house, perfect for rinsing off after the beach. Storage room with plenty of gear: chairs, cooler, beach cart, boogie boards, 3 kayaks, 4 bikes, 1 SUP, beach toys, corn hole game, etc. Easy, vacation living is what we strive for with nice accommodations, similar to what folks are used to rather than "roughing it" at the beach! The perfect spot for adults and kids...everyone will be VERY happy! Please contact us to answer any questions. We would love to help you plan the perfect vacation for your group! Topsail Beach is a special place and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. This is the perfect home for holiday and special occasion celebrations! We have a large kitchen island, big dining table with many chairs and a fully stocked kitchen in terms of appliances, cookware and dishes. Outdoor picnic table and grill, media room, great for family games or movie nights. The game closet can't be beat! Downstairs living room has a flat screen TV above the fire place w sound bar and there is a second, larger TV upstairs. We have deeded sound access across from the house. There is sound access across the street for swimming, SUP and Kayaking. For larger boats, we recommend Bush's Marine which is friendly and reasonable. You can use the ramp for the day or rent a slip. Dave and Sarah know what they are doing! I picked this place for the kayaks and fireplace. We had great communication with Dave and Sarah. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was in place.
Besides being perfectly clean and a well stocked kitchen, the best surprise was how much fun it was to play with all the beach toys: 5 bikes, 3 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, skim boards, surf boards, a sand shovel... I'm sure I'm missing others.

As soon as we arrived, we knew we chose the right place for our vacation rental. The house was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and to make our stay easier. The house was clean on arrival, and the different areas of the home were perfect and allowed room for everyone to enjoy time together or have their own space. It provided the perfect comforts of home with the added benefits of vacationing. The owners were easy to get in touch with if we had any questions. We loved the water pressure and the easy rinse off area outside when we returned from the beach. Although we brought or own beach gear, they had plenty to go around and we loved the convenience of the storage area outside. The full size picnic table and abundance of seating was great for cooking out or just relaxing on any of the three decks. The front decks were perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets over the sound. The drive to town was only a few minutes, and worth it to provide a little extra space on a less travelled area of the island. My husband was stationed at Camp Lejeune for 8 years and he was dying to go back and visit the area. I'm glad I listened. The best part was that we were able to bring our pets and not have to leave them behind with friends or family. The Lucky Fish Cottage was the perfect getaway.

Our family had a lovely time staying at Lucky Fish Cottage. The house was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We also appreciated access to the bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks. The hosts were very responsive and kind. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the best vacation this last week at the Lucky Fish. It was a beautiful location and easy beach access. The house was beautiful and clean! We saw dolphins from the decks, we went bike riding, and paddling boarding with the equipment provided. The property managers, Dave and Sarah were absolutely amazing and a joy to communicate with. My family and I will be returning next year!! I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation rental! Thank you Dave and Sarah!

We had a great stay. The property is accurately described and nicely maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Gorgeous sunsets! Topsail Beach has a cute little business district with a few nice gift shops, restaurants and a fun retro skating rink and mini golf/arcade. The closest grocery store is about a 10 min drive north to Surf City. We enjoyed several nice morning walks on the beach. Shells were plentiful. We loved our trip and hope to return next year.

We've stayed at Lucky Fish several times and it never disappoints. Sarah and David are fantastic hosts and they have a beautiful, well stocked, fantastically located property that feels like a home away from home. We come with our teen and tween, and they love the house too, which is high praise from at their age. You can't go wrong with this wonderful rental.

My husband and I plus our older son and our dog spent almost a week in Lucky Fish Cottage when our younger son and his fiancee celebrated their Covid-delayed wedding on Topsail Beach. It was a great place to be -- very comfortable and easy to live in, perfect weather, beautiful sunsets, walks on the beach and just relaxing. The house really does have everything you need and much more. The photos give an accurate representation of the space and decor. We would love to stay again someday!

We love staying at The Lucky Fish! It is new, clean, open, and airy. The owners are great and everything works in the house. There is a beautiful view of the sound. We loved this house! The best of everything- lots of room, great layout, very well equipped, great location and lots of toys.
Prefer the ocean to the sound? A very short two block walk on a quiet street.
We rode bicycles, kayaked to the sand bar, swam at two different beaches, walked to the fishing pier and on our last night we sat around on the deck watching a thunderstorm.
We were talking about next year before we even got out of town.

We had a great stay in Top Sail. The house was as described and spotless. Easy access to the beach and with the multiple decks there was always a comfortable place to sit even in early spring. Don’t forget to bring your own linens!

Every aspect of this house was carefully thought out to host guests. The cleanliness was excellent, the accuracy of the listing was exactly what we experienced. The location at the South End is quaint, quiet and very friendly. By far, the most amazing part of our stay were the sunsets every night. Dave and Sarah went above and beyond to communicate and make us feel like we were staying at our own home. The amenities of the kitchen were fantastic and having the bikes and kayaks readily available was ideal! My husband and I will absolutely be staying here again. Thank you Lucky Fish Cottage for a week we will not soon forget!!

This is our third time staying at The Lucky Fish and we feel lucky to have found this property. The location is perfect. If you like the beach, it’s only a short walk away and if you like the Sound, which is our preference, you can admire the view or launch a kayak from practically the backyard. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen is well stocked. We will definitely be back for a fourth visit and more!

Words can’t describe how nice this place is. We didn’t even have to leave to have the best vacation! From the kayaks, paddle board, sunsets, dolphin views, and perfectly located bars within the property. To the comfy rooms, everything you need kitchen, cleanliness and design beauty. This house had everything. We are so thankful to have stayed at the Lucky Fish. Can’t wait to go back.

We loved our stay at The Lucky Fish! It is a beautiful, new, clean home. The view and neighborhood are wonderful, the decor is simple and tasteful, it is well stocked with everything you need including bikes and beach gear. The beach cart was great for taking all of our things to the beach. We also enjoyed the space under the house with the gas grill and big picnic table and nice breeze. The outdoor shower was great. The owners are friendly and available. All in all a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this house!

This house is perfectly situated on the island for those looking to escape their busy lives. The house is beautifully decorated and well stocked, with stunning views of the sound and easy access to it and the ocean. We loved our time and Sarah was not only super responsive, but shared tips about happenings around the island. Overall, folks in the island were super friendly and we had a wonderful time during the week we stayed at Lucky Fish Cottage, and we can’t recommend it enough.

The house was amazing and just as represented in the listing and pictures. We were amazed at how spacious it was, every bedroom had plenty of floor space and room to move around.
We loved having 2 separate living areas. The media room upstairs was the teen hang-out area and had its own balcony, half bath, and a door to help contain the joyful sounds of teenhood. Downstairs the kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to cook and we loved having a dining room table where all 7 of us could eat dinner and play games together.
The house was very clean and well-maintained. No signs of insects or other pests indoors. The bathrooms were very clean (2 full baths and 2 half baths!!) and looked like they had new shower liners which I appreciated.
The owners allow you access to the beach equipment which includes a beach cart, kayaks, bikes, and beach toys. They were also very responsive and very helpful. They even let us know about a local festival happening the weekend we stayed!
The sound views from the decks are amazing and it's a quick walk to the beach. Overall I'd highly recommend this rental - we've been going to Topsail for 7 years, and everyone agreed this was the nicest, most spacious house we've stayed at yet!

This was the BEST property that we’ve rented on Topsail Island! We have been going to Topsail for over 10 years and by far this house was our favorite! ABSOLUTELY beautiful home! VERY CLEAN and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked, bedrooms were super cozy and beds so very comfortable! The sound view from the decks were spectacular! Great furniture to sit back and relax on. Loved all the beach gear, kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes that were provided! Such a treat not to have to pack all that! Location is PERFECT and very quiet! We enjoyed the sound access right Accross the street and the beach was a quick 5 min walk or even quicker bike ride. I can’t say enough about how awesome this home was! I didn’t want to leave. I can’t wait to return!!

We stayed at this property a few years ago and it’s as good as we remembered! Clean, beautifully decorated, and totally comfortable. The views are amazing and the sunsets from the decks are a highlight for us. We also like that it’s a quick walk to the beach. We like to cook a fair amount while on vacation and the kitchen is well stocked. We didn’t get a chance to use the included kayaks this time, but plan to when, I’m sure, we return again. We have stayed twice now at LF and will definitely return. The house is more than myself and my husband need, but it is so comfortable and we love the location. Outdoor shower is our favorite, and bikes and beach items provided are very nice. Overall the house just has a good vibe!

Lucky Fish is in a quiet area with wonderful views of the sound. The traffic was mostly walkers and bicyclists. It was a short walk to the ocean. The house had everything that we required and more amenities than we used. Sarah and David were very responsive to questions and got back to us quickly.

The Lucky Fish Cottage is indeed as wonderful as all of the reviews said it would be. We would give it six stars if we could!
One thing to add to what everyone else wrote is that we are now fans of staying sound side. Even with a few days of rain, the Lucky Fish Cottage exceeded our already high expectations. Waking up to the calm breezy sound every morning and watching the sunsets from the deck(s) were new experiences for us that we want to experience again. We can't help but add a few thoughts: The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. The upstairs TV room was a perfect entertainment area for our kids. We enjoyed the bikes for our entire family to share, making the beach and all of the great Topsail Beach attractions only minutes away. The paddleboards and kayaks were great too! We highly recommend the Lucky Fish Cottage to anyone who wants to enjoy all that Topsail Beach has to offer.

This house is beautiful and has every amenity that you would want in a beach house. The location is perfect and is within a few minute walk to the beach while also having the sound views that are serene with the most amazing sunsets. The hosts were so responsive and answered all questions promptly. We will definitely return to Lucky Fish for another week at the beach, we fell in love with Topsail.
