Nestled in Bend, this lovely house for $295 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The Galveston House is located on the trendy and popular west side of Bend, in the heart of the Galveston District. It is within strolling distance of area hot-spots like 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Victorian Café, Phil’s Growlers, Ariana, Paradise Produce Stand, and The Lot---a great Food-Cart court with outdoor dining. The Galveston House uses solar power and was designed with green efficiency in mind. We have used wonderful re-claimed, one-of-a-kind items to make this home warm and welcoming. This home features: ● Three private bedrooms, two private bathrooms ● First bedroom has a king bed and private attached bathroom, en suite double sinks, and flat screen Smart TV ● Second bedroom has a queen bed ● Third bedroom has a queen bed ● Ductless AC/Heating units in each bedroom for personalized comfort ● Full sized hall bathroom ● Desk / workspace in a portion of the large king bedroom ● Living room with flat screen Smart TV, and ductless AC/heating ● Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking at home ● Coffee bar with whole bean coffee, grinder, sugar, non-dairy creamer, tea ● Free high speed wireless internet ● Washer and dryer ● Private hot tub ● Fully fenced backyard with grassy lawn and outdoor dining table ● Private one car attached garage for parking or storing your outdoor gear ● Outdoor propane BBQ (seasonal, Memorial Day - Labor Day) ● Two cruiser bikes (seasonal, Memorial Day - Labor Day) Nearby you will find great bike shops, recreational outfitters, and fabulous local-favorite juice bars within two blocks. Jump right onto your bike and in less than 2 miles you are at Phil’s Trail known for its excellent mountain biking. Load your board or skis and you are just 20 minutes from Mt. Bachelor and powder slopes. The historic downtown is just a short 10 minute stroll away, much of that through Drake Park along The Deschutes River. No matter which way you turn, you are in the thick of delightful Bend. This is a private, standalone house exclusively for guest use. The house, grounds, hot tub, and parking area are unshared. We have complete contactless check-in for the convenience and safety of our guests. All towels, linens and bedding are included. We also leave guests a small amount of starter supplies including: toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry soaps, hand soaps, bath soap, shampoo, and coffee bar items mentioned above. We also provide blow dryers, iron and ironing board. Please plan accordingly to bring anything else you may wish to have with you on your trip. Note: Guests who book this home will be required to sign an auxiliary rental packet with specific rules and information included, such as neighborhood quiet hours, check in and out time restrictions, and non-smoking policies. If you are traveling with a pet, you will also need to sign a copy of our pet rules. **Our cancellation policies that you agree to at the time of booking are in effect even during a pandemic, winter travel season, summer wildfire season, etc. We highly recommend researching and purchasing third party Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) trip insurance for any unforeseen circumstances that may arise that may require you to cancel or postpone your reservation, especially those related to COVID-19 closures and restrictions.

We've stayed at this property in the past and loved it. It really is in the perfect location. We walked to Old Bend (15 min), Old Mill (20-25 min) and of course right across the steet to 10 Barrel Brewery. Sun River Brewery is about a 2min walk and they have great food...and beer of course. The house is well cared for and has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Return guests for a reason - easily walkable to breweries, restaurants/cafes, old town and Old Mill districts, parks, and the river. Quick access to the mountain. Plenty of space for meals with family and friends. Fully fenced yard the best feature per our dogs. :-)

This is a nice updated older home just off NW Galveston which is a great trendy street for food and drinks. You can walk or ride to downtown. The house is well equipped and lacked nothing we needed. Lastly, this property was also dog friendly but we saw no evidence of other dogs when we stayed. We will certainly consider staying here again.

Rented this property for a long weekend getaway and it was just what we needed. Clean, excellent location, walking distance to just about anything you will need. Large fenced back yard, hot tub and plenty of good times. Thank you.

We rented this house for two weeks in Bend. You can’t be the location to great restaurants, Drake park (and the floating take out point), and downtown. We loved being able to walk everywhere and not deal with traffic or parking hassles. We even walked our paddle boards down to Mirror Pond and back. The yard is a great and hot tub was a great bonus. Best of all, we could put our names in at the nearby restaurants and wait for our table back at the house.

Location and comfort
Easy from start to finish. Good communication with property manager.
Location is great - coffee shops and breweries within a couple blocks (or less). River only a few blocks away, and a nice easy walk along the river to downtown (Old Mill District?).
Our dogs loved the yard. How convenient to sit in the hot tub and let them play.
Looking forward to returning in summer.

Home is located in a great location for walking to many of the Bend attractions. Check in and out is very easy, and the hot tub and garage were great bonuses during our winter stay. Improvements could be made in cleaning (soap scum on faucets, bathroom fan covered in dark dust, trim boards appeared dirty), but my guess is that the property has high use and doesn’t have much time for a deeper clean in between turn over. A lot of things also seem to be in need of replacing - kitchen utensils didn’t work well (dull knives/peeler, melted spatula that broke partway through, dishwasher that didn’t want to start unless you pressed very hard on the door). I was also surprised by how much cleaning/tasks were required of the renter, but that was likely my own fault for not reading the rental agreement more closely. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and it was great to be able to bring our dog along as well.

We needed a place to stay after a week in Sunriver and we found the River West Galveston House thankfully!! Thoughtful touches, fabulous location and very clean. We would stay there again in an instant.

Very noisy
This home is nicely located to restaurants, breweries, river, etc BUT has a parking lot directly to the right of the home. The noise from commercial trucks, commercial workers, cars parking in lot & road noise begin at 5:30 am. We had no peaceful mornings. Then the house on the other side started demo construction starting at 7 am. We had plumbing issues, and to top it off dirty bedding.
The Mgmt responded to the issues they could . . . But this was the worst vrbo I have ever rented.
Sadly. We were so hoping for a wonderful home. This was not it! Especially for this price. Omg.

Clean well stocked home in a central location in Bend. Hot tub is an extra bonus after a long day of skiing. There are so many options of where to eat that are within walking distance

This house is in a great location! We really enjoyed our stay here.
We got to Bend after record snow fall, the driveway and front porch had all been shoveled. We were very comfortable in this house, close to everything. Enjoyed the hot tub after a day at the mountain...we will definitely rent again on our next visit!

Very nice house in great location
We were happy with our stay at the Galveston house. Erin was very accommodating and we had no issues. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. It was a great location. We enjoyed walking to the restaurants and Drake Park. We also used the hot tub and the fenced back yard was a nice retreat. It is a busy area and a very busy corner location but most nights were quiet so not a problem.

We have been vrbo-ing in Bend for the past few years. This house has the best location.
At first glance you may think it is too close to Galveston, but it is 100% a plus! 3 blocks from Drake Park, across the street from 10-Barrel (put in your reservation, and come back home! no need to wait there for 1 hour!)...I am usually very critical of our vrbo stays: kitchen not stocked properly, bedrooms too small, blah blah blah! But this house really exceeded all my expectations: the dog had a blast going to Drake park every morning and evening, kids could walk everywhere by themselves, kitchen was so well stocked that we gave two dinner parties for friends (10+ people)...WE Loved It! Thank you.

Fun time in Bend
We were in town for a wedding and instead of being in a hotel we went with the home stay option. Great location for brewerie's and good eats. We didn't spend much time in the home as we were out and about, but when we did it felt like home. Very nice place and a nice back yard that we would have liked to spend more time.
