About this house rental
Nestled in Savannah, this lovely house for $311 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The Wandering Artist is two properties combined - the main house, which has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, and the carriage house, which has an additional bed and bathroom. A private courtyard connects the two homes and makes the perfect spot for morning coffee. The main house has been recently renovated, converting two homes into one and opening up the space while maintaining the original brick walls. The spacious living room has plenty of comfortable seating, including a sleeper sofa, and a large, wall-mounted TV. Duel brick fireplaces, now decorative, are mirrored on both sides of the living space. The dining room has a beautiful, ornate table and opens to the adjacent kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to prepare a meal. Both bedrooms are upstairs, and each has their own bathroom. The first bedroom has a King bed and the second has a Queen bed and Twin bed. Each bathroom upstairs has a tub/shower combo and separate toilet area. The third bedroom is in the studio space of the carriage house which includes a Queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bath with a shower/tub combo. You’ll be a quick walk to a selection of Savannah’s best restaurants, including Mrs. Wilkes Restaurant and Husk. A morning stroll down Jones Street will bring you to Clary’s Cafe, the setting for several scenes in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Sleeping Configuration: Bedroom 1: King Bed Bedroom 2: King Bed + Twin Bed Bedroom 3 (in Carriage House): Queen Bed Living Room: Queen Sized Sofa Bed Parking: This home has free, on-street parking. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home. We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more details. Great place for us all to be together and visit. It was convenient to restaurants. Parking was easy. It was very clean.

House was everything as advertised, even better. Beds are extremely comfortable. Courtyard is beautiful and very tranquil. Our two dachshunds loved being out there chasing squirrels. Pretty much everything you would want to do is within a mile to a mile and a quarter walking distance. The only issue we had was the door knobs going out to the courtyard need replaced or fixed. Other than that fantastic stay and will definitely return!!

Overall a great house- we came to Savannah to visit our daughter who goes to SCAD- our son and his girlfriend came up from Jacksonville so good to have the family together. Plenty of room, especially with the carriage house available. Location was great- close to Forsythe park where we got the chance to visit the local market. Close to local eateries- Cleary's was great.
Couple of suggestions- blankets- both for the den as well as additional ones for the bedrooms. Additional pillows for the beds- especially king size pillows for the master bedroom. Otherwise- would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for Halloween weekend. Property was super clean and easy to get into. The carriage house was a little warmer than expected so sleeping was not as “sound” but it was tolerable. Close to so many things if you felt like walking and super safe and quiet. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Loved this historic home. Charming. We had trouble getting into the house as the first couple of door codes for the house and coach house did not work and we had to contact the management couple 3 times. I would recommend that more eating utensils be added, the patio furniture needed major cleaning, and have more than one dish towel. Those were not major things though. We had a great time and the neighborhood is lovely.

We were so pleased with our home away from home. The bedrooms and bathes were lovely and the ambience was charming, especially the the antique brick walls. The decor and artwork was special and made for a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a conveniently located house. We walked to Clary’s for breakfast and Mrs Wilkes Boarding House of lunch another day. Parking was easy, just be aware of street sweeping day. Only two suggestions I have are if the beautiful courtyard and furniture be cleaned up a little, It’s a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a couple of tea towels would be nice in kitchen. Lucky Savannah was very helpful and easy to reach.

Celebrated my 60th birthday with my husband and adult children here and none of us wanted to leave! This home is historically beautiful, spacious - especially with the carriage house. It has everything you could possibly need and the outdoor courtyard is the perfect, quiet spot for morning coffee. We have been visiting Savannah for many years and the location is great! Easy walkability to restaurants, bars, historic sites, the beautiful squares, city market area and River Street. We plan to stay here again in the future!

This is a beautiful home and fit our needs. It is about a 20 minute walk from most things we were interested in doing/seeing. Location is quiet. Kitchen could be better stocked. It was not as clean as we prefer. Air filters need changing and it could use an overall deep clean.

Would recommend warmer bedding on beds and perhaps a new mattress on the bed in the room with double beds. Not exactly the most comfortable supportive mattress.

We were 3 couples that each wanted their own bathroom. So this property fit that bill. We had great weather, so we enjoyed the courtyard. Downstairs provided a good gathering area. I would suggest the owners attend to the following items when they can. My bed/bath was charming, but the toilet seat needs to be affixed better and the queen bed was pretty saggy in the middle.

We decided to try and rent a place instead of the usual hotel rooms due to the number of people in our party. This property boasted of a "carriage house" above the garage that would accommodate 2 occupants. Well the air conditioning unit never worked and when they sent someone out to fix it, they totally botched the job. The room was unusable and to top it off, "Lucky Savannah" (what a joke) was supposed to call me to discuss my displeasure and I haven't heard a word! DO NOT RENT!!!!

Beautiful Vacation Spot on Jones
We highly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home on Jones Street. We decided to take a family trip to Savannah (me, my husband, our dog, my sister and my parents). It was PERFECT for sleeping this amount of people, and we could have totally fit more people! This was my parents' first experience staying in a homeshare and they were very impressed. The place was super clean and spacious. We loved being able to bring back take-out and eat at the large dining table. It was nice that my husband, our dog, and I were able to stay in the carriage house behind the main house. We will definitely be booking here again sometime! Highly recommend!

My husband and I and a few other family members just spent 2 nights here. This property is in a great location as we were able to walk around the beautiful historic district in Savannah. Parking was not an issue. The property itself is quite charming and offers plenty of room for everyone. We would love to return one day. Love Savannah!!

Our stay in Wandering Artist was close to perfect. The bedrooms are spacious and the cooking and dining space are ample as well. The courtyard is a lovely place to visit and enjoy Savannah weather. My only suggestion is that the seating area in the living space is not adequate for 6-8 people to sit comfortably. I would suggest removing the stadium seats and replacing with a couple of upholstered chairs. As it was, only 4 of our 6 could relax comfortably while they other two had to sit in hard chairs all weekend. Also, the outdoor area only seats 4. Again, needs to seat the maximum for the home, which is 6-8. Otherwise a beautiful and very spacious space that is convenient to everything in the historic area. I would definitely rent it again.

We don't know the owner, but they feel like a kindred spirit! Between the art and the historical touches, there isn't a corner in the house that isn't worth looking into. This was the perfect house for an extended family get together. There were even a couple pieces of art that had special connections to our family history!Only complaint, all the bathrooms had been partially cleaned; it's as though the last step to sweep them out was forgotten, which left for dirty floors. It would be appreciated if Lucky Savannah let occupants know if they are arriving on a street cleaning day. It's a bit frustrating to have spent the day in the car and be unloading, and to then have to search for an alternate spot.
