Couple’s Retreat – Romantic Penthouse Villa Across the Street from the Beach
About this villa rental
Located in South Forest Beach, this attractive villa for $300 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Gutted and thoroughly renovated, this villa is an adults-only 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 story top-floor 1090 sq. ft. penthouse with W/D, WiFi, 2 TV's, pool, tennis courts, and underground parking. It's across the street from the beach and across the street from Coligny Plaza shopping and restaurants. Also, the new Lowcountry Celebration Park is directly behind the complex. Upstairs, there are sliding Shoji doors that allow the king-sized bedroom to be completely closed off from the other upstairs living area / bedroom in case someone wants to "sleep in". There are two full bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. The villa is completely furnished like a home, including everything that's needed for cooking full meals. The bike trail network runs directly in front of the complex, and during much of the year, the Trolley and local golf cart transportation services are active with stops very nearby. Having a car is recommended so that you can experience all of HHI, but it's not required. Bikes can be rented from any number of on-line companies or in-person. All of them deliver. We were unable to adequately maintain beach equipment nor the cleanliness of the villa from the equipment traffic, so none is available in the unit. A good option for "beach sitters" is to rent from The Beach Patrol for the whole stay just after arriving (or via shorebeach.com in advance). Please let us know if you're coming for any special events, and please don't hesitate to ask us about early arrival and late departure.

Great location, beautiful condo and excellent host. We really enjoyed our stay. The worst part was we had to eventually leave. We frequent Hilton Head a couple times a year and this was probably our best stay. Hopefully we will be returning to L'Auvent soon.

Had a really nice week staying here. Before arrival Van is incredible with the amount of detailed information he provides...not just about the condo but also useful info about the area. The place was perfect for my wife and me. Everything is as described. Clean and well stocked. Would come back for sure.

The pictures and description of the property were 100% accurate. It's a bit dated but clean (though there is a slight musty smell upon entering the unit). We appreciated the elevator since the unit is on the 4th floor. The communication from the host was the best we've ever had. The complimentary coffee pods and bottle of wine were a nice touch. We chose the unit primarily for its proximity to Coligny Beach (an easy walk) and a variety of restaurants. We enjoyed our trip and our stay in this unit. The only negative was the bees' nest on the small balcony off the living room. We had hoped to sit out there to enjoy our morning coffee but were unable to do so.

The host was very kind and communicated clearly. Also, the property is in a great location with private parking and walking distance access to the beach and numerous restaurants and shops. The condo was super clean, organized, and well prepared for our arrival. The checkout process was smooth, too -- we didn't have to do much at all. We will definitely be staying here again!

Our first stay was so good, we came back and stayed longer this time around! Love this beautiful villa in the heart of Hilton Head. It is so cozy and comfortable, well designed, and has tons of great touches throughout. We appreciate that there are 2 full baths and plenty of space for relaxing, even when one person is still sleeping. Walking distance to the beach, park, food, shopping, and more makes this location wonderful. Eagerly awaiting visit #3!

We enjoyed our stay. Bec we toured a lot, I would have liked to have enjoyed the beach more. Ima wannabe beachcomber. We did relax at Tybee Beach leaving Ft Pulaski. This property was clean, elegantly decorated, well stocked,if you chose to cook. Location was perfect for dining, shopping and beach. It was welcoming to hear the children/families a the playground across the street,too. Also the 2 concerts we could have enjoyed, just sitting on either of the 2 balconies,but we toted our chairs/blanket and joined the crowd for one of them. Good repeat property.
Mgmt response time was great. We only had 2 questions, closet(no closet space), and kitchen trash(behind the door,only had to give it a nudge).too excited to, read the manual provided.

A tip for beach sitters: Renting an umbrella and chairs for the whole stay is convenient since they are set up for you each day. One service is shorebeach.com.

A Gem of a Villa on Hilton Head!
L'Auvent met our expectations, and then went above and beyond them! What a perfect and beautiful place to stay, and in a super convenient location. We have found our new little slice of heaven!
The villa was exceptionally clean and very well appointed in all areas. The bed was extremely comfortable, with nice quality linens and towels, and lovely soaps and bath products provided. Excellent lighting and variety of lighting choices in all rooms. Although we did not do any cooking during our stay, the kitchen had everything needed to do so. The double balconies were a nice added bonus and we enjoyed them both.
The beach is a casual stroll of 5-7 minutes away (very easy walk). I was without a car during the day while my husband was away on business, but this was not a problem at all. Along with the beach, shopping, restaurants, and other necessities are all within a short walk from the villa.
The host was extremely responsive, even to a last minute request. The informational packet that is provided after booking is very helpful and thorough.
Overall this was a wonderful stay for my husband and I. We are so thrilled that we found L'Auvent. We can’t wait to come back for our next stay on Hilton Head!

Perfect Location and Views
Everything about this villa was great from booking through checkout. Walking distance to many restaurants and the beach. We were in town for the RBC Heritage and rode our rental bikes daily to the tournament. Such a beautiful area and the villa was in an ideal location. Would gladly stay here again!

Home away from home, all the comforts of home! Plus a great location, nice view over the new park, easy stroll to the beach and shops, restaurants and a grocery store with the best seafood market around. This renovation was very well designed, used every space perfectly. A great getaway for two, but would work well for a small family with the adjoining room’s day bed.
