This was a perfect spot for us to stay while visiting friends and family in the greater New Orleans area from Kenner to Slidell to the French Quarter, this place is right near it all and an easy drive to any of those places. Public transportation is just a block away and can also take you anywhere in the GNO area you need to be. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a couple of blocks from Magazine, with pretty much any kind of shop, bar or restaurant you could possibly want. The bed is super comfortable and the climate control works great! There’s a lovely private yard and patio, great to hang out with our doggie and sip a drink, and the balcony on either end is also a nice afternoon sitting spot. We wanted for nothing and during our one self induced crisis Gary was immediately responsive and helpful, thank you Gary. This was an excellent rental.

Gary was very responsive and welcoming upon our checkin. He was initially responsive when we noted a non-functioning smoke detector - he replaced immediately. However, as the 4 week stay moved along, problems occurred, from a neighbor who was irate we were there (with our dogs), to a dishwasher that needed replacement (workers in the unit), realization I overpaid, and at the 3rd week, my car window was smashed out (despite nothing inside the car) and police said it happens frequently along this location (despite reassurances that it never happens by Gary.....). We were pretty upset that the car was vandalized and no Gary help at that point. We felt unsafe - my son (age 10) and I moved out that same day 5 days early to a hotel. On the positive side, shower worked well, full size refrigerator and comfy bed. Safety however is a priority for me (single mom waiting to close on a new home). Conversation with the responding police officer was eye-opening. Left feeling like a fool - overpaid and underdelivered stay.

Perfect Location

This was a perfect location to so many wonderful restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the house. Parking is off street, however, we had no difficulty with parking near the property. Gary also made sure the house was warmed prior to our arrival. He will want to meet you sometime during your stay to ensure that everything is ok with the place.

Older unit in a great location. Property was somewhat compromised secondary to the recent hurricane and repairs in the next unit. Overall, a nice place to stay.
