Situated in New Braunfels, this lovely condo for $286 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. The COOL COMAL COTTAGE is a beautiful third floor condo with a stunning view of beautiful New Braunfels. The Comal River is known as “the shortest river in Texas”. This two mile river is crystal clear and a constant 68 degrees year round. Book with confidence! If they shut down the river or the tube outfitters, I have private exit access that you can use! We understand that things are a little more difficult during these times than normal so we have instituted: - A flexible cancellation policy - Coupons and discounts for future bookings - Reduced minimum stay requirements - Reduced daily rates - Increased discounts for longer stays - Employing stringent cleaning procedures - Self check-in tools for no contact check in / out - Quality work areas and internet for “workcations” The COTTAGE has an ideal location on the river. It is close to the springs and allows for one of the longest floats on the Comal River. The river area next to the condo also offers the best areas for swimming and splashing in the clean refreshing waters. At the entry you will be greeted by natural wood floors that extend from the door all the way across the condo through the living area and to the balcony on the other side. The beautiful warm tones of the condo stand in contrast to the cool colors that come from the refreshing waters of the COMAL river, the calming blues of the sky and the lively greens of the spring budding leaves. The bedrooms are simple but elegant and each room is equipped with a television with over 100 cable channels. We also have wonderfully large flat screen with lots of DirectTV channels. 1= King, 2= Queen + Trundle (2 twins), LR= Sleeper sofa. The bathrooms will make you feel right at home with their comfortable cottage style. The kitchen will invite the entire family to gather around with its tasteful simplicity and COOL COTTAGE style. The kitchen is open to the living area which is furnished with a nice sleeper sofa, a comfy arm chair and a big screen TV. Oh and did we mention the view from the balcony? What a perfect transition it provides from the beauty inside to the beauty outside. Take time to “set a spell” and enjoy the comfortable chairs and beautiful mosaic table. Inside, this attractively decorated two-bedroom two-bath condominium comfortably sleeps six adults. You can squeeze 8 in if some are children. Master bedroom (queen-size).Day bed in master (twin size), Guest bedroom (King-size). Sleeper couch (full-size). Our condo complex has recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation of the exterior. All the outside walkways and balconies are brand new and waiting for you to enjoy them. We certainly hope that you will choose our COOL COTTAGE in paradise when you plan your vacation to New Braunfels. We have done what we can to make it a wonderful experience for you. The condo can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests, but realize with 8 people in the unit, it will feel crowded. You can only park 2 cars inside the gates. Any additional cars can be parked outside the complex. I will provide recommendations in your welcome email. Access to the entire condo plus the common grounds which offer the pool, hot tub, picnic area, grills and river access. I am happy to help. Just call or text. The location is fantastic. Our condos are the closest to downtown (5 blocks) and to the Wurstfest Grounds (6 blocks) The rules of the complex are pretty strict, quiet hours are observed at night. The unit sleeps a max of 8 and only two parking passes are allowed. Safety: Property has 1 camera: 1 ring doorbell located to the right of the door pointed at the front walkway. This camera will be recording during your stay.. Explanation about the damage deposit: Your reservation may require a damage deposit. If you book via Airbnb, there is no up front deposit, however if there is damage, you will be charged after your stay. If you are booking on my website, the checkout process will be easy. However, if you are booking on VRBO, they will show it as a "Refundable deposit paid at property". That is not accurate. The deposit is simply a credit card hold which is authorized on the day that you arrive and then automatically drops off 7 days after you leave. If you leave with no damage, you will never notice it. If there is damage, I will notify you of what I have found prior to making any type of claim against that hold. I'm sorry that VRBO describes it that way, but I have brought it to their attention, and they say it is the only thing that can be done with their system. I think they are just putting the square peg in the round hole. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

The VRBO listing was misleading on multiple levels. The listing indicates that the space sleeps 8, and shows photos of 1 king bed, 2 full/ queen beds and a day bed, and a fold out couch.

Our company does a company trip every year for the Formula 1 race weekend. We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Condo was very clean and comfortable. What's nice is that it's a 15 minute walk to many spots in New Braunfels to eat and drink. Checking in and out was super easy and the host took the time to send texts to make sure we didn't need anything during our stay.
Would definitely book again if it's available next year.

We brought our granddaughters and parents to celebrate the ten year olds birthday. We had a great time and this was a perfect location for all the fun things we wanted to do. It was clean and a great space to fix meals and swim in the pool when we stayed in. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone wanting to have a great New Braunfels experience.

I stayed here with my dad to float the River for the weekend. Everything was perfect from check in to check out, communication was great during the entire process. The condo itself was clean and perfect for our purposes. Great location! Super quick Uber to downtown or Gruene Hall to hear live music! Definitely plan to stay here again

The condo was perfect for what we needed! We only stayed one night to attend a graduation party and to float the Comal the next day before heading home. There was access to the river from the property. Right next door was Texas Tubes. We were able to walk around the corner of the property and enjoy a 2 hour tube ride. Great location!

After visiting the blue bell creamery and the Shriner brewery we were looking forward to jumping in the river. This place was amazing. Reed was so kind and friendly and answered every question I had. It truly is 45 steps to the Comal with tubes I hand!😃

Was a very comfortable stay! The location is great although at this time of year they were doing a lot of ground work and tree trimming to prepare for the summer busyness of tubers coming. The property condo that we stayed in was a little dated and smelt like mothballs but those were easily remedied. Overall we had a great trip and would definitely stay here again

This place is in the perfect location! You can walk to down town easily! The river is literally out the backdoor! The host is extremely accommodating! He makes sure you a 100% taken care of! The only thing to be aware of is the proximity to the train tracks. If you are not use to the sound it could bother you. However, the unit, even though older, has very thick walls. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Can’t be beat!
We love this location! There are so many fun things to do and see even in winter! We were especially enchanted with the deer and wide variety of ducks along the river and nearby parks. The condo was perfect - clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Reed was a wonderful host and available whenever we had a question.
This was a real treat! My only concern in giving 5 stars (which it fully deserves) is the property may not be available the next time we come to New Braunfels.

Great family location
Going tubing down the river has been a family tradition each year growing up, so it was an easy choice when we were deciding what to do for our vacation this year. The only difference for us was that we now have a baby. What’s so cool about this location is that it’s close enough to the water. So one of us stayed with our daughter while the other floated down to the chute and then walked back to switch out.
The place was nice and the air conditioning worked really well. We loved the visibility of the river from the balcony and how well we could gauge the “busy-ness” of the river at any point. We cooked frequently and felt we had everything we needed for doing so.
The host was always available and checked in to make sure we were happy with our stay throughout. I loved the amount of hooks in each bathroom for clothes and bathing suits, and wish there were some out on the balcony, but we made things work (and there’s only two of us lol).
We also appreciated the tubes provided in the room! Felt like we had everything we needed. There is a train that goes by at night, and it feels very close, but it was never a huge issue for us. And thankfully our daughter also sleeps well. Overall it was a great stay, and we want to come back with more family next year to make more memories. Thanks!

Very nice location on the river. All the convenience of home. Quiet couldn’t hear neighbors. Only reason not 5 stars is the condo is very dated, worn bedding (king) and furnishings with small living room. Just needs the ceiling scraped, paint the cabinets and new ceiling lights and fresh bedding for king. Very nice place.

The BEST place to stay in New Braunfels!
Another incredible stay at Cool Comal Cottage! This was our 3rd time to stay in this great property, right on the Comal River and within walking distance of the Wurstfest grounds. We travel to New Braunfels for Wurstfest every year, and up until we found Cool Comal Cottage, we would stay in a local hotel. With Cool Comal Cottage being so close, we only have to leave the condo and walk a few blocks to the Wurstfest entrance. No cars, no traffic, no parking fees. Total game changer!
Not only is Cool Comal Cottage ideally situated to attend Wurstfest in the fall, but it’s a great summer vacation spot as well, with close and easy access to Schlitterbaun and Landa Park! The complex is right on the Comal River, and Cool Comal Cottage offers a beautiful view of the river from the balcony. There’s also a great pool and hot tub near the river’s edge.
Across the street from the condo complex is a cool little bar/restaurant if you want breakfast tacos in the morning, or a drink before turning in for the evening. But beyond that, New Braunfels’ historic downtown is just a 10 minute walk away, where you’ll find Naegelin’s Bakery, the oldest bakery in Texas, as well as a great variety of boutiques, restaurants, galleries, museums, and live music venues. Location matters, and Cool Comal Cottage is in the perfect location to enjoy the best New Braunfels has to offer.
The property itself is also ideal. It has 2 spacious, private bedrooms with great décor and plenty of closet and drawer space so you can unpack and unwind. The master has a private bath, and in addition to the queen-sized bed, has a day bed with trundle to provide additional sleeping space, making it a great room for 2 couples or a small family. The other bedroom has charming Texas décor, king-sized bed, and easy access to the other bathroom located in the hallway. In the living room is a sleeper sofa to accommodate 2 more people. So there’s plenty of sleeping space for a few couples or even a few families! The living room is charming and cozy with comfortable furniture and a fireplace. And the outside balcony is ideal for cool evenings and daytime river views.
The owners of Cool Comal Cottage have provided plenty of quality linens, dishes, pots and pans, and extra bedding to make your stay an easy one. You’ll feel at home the second you walk in! It’s clean, safe, and exactly as advertised, something any traveler can appreciate.

The location was excellent, and the cost was okay, the condo its self was a little older then expected, but over all was good. Loved the water pressure in the shower and the carts provided for coolers luggage etc, were great since we were on the 3rd floor. Again the location was outstanding for a float trip....and the balcony was a plus....I would stay there again.

Great place to stay
This room was great, right on the river. Everything is provided, including tubes, which was perfect for us. You can go right outside and start floating the river. The pool and hot tub are well kept and there are plenty of grills outside to cook on.

Perfect Location, Comfy Beds and Well Equipped
I loved my time at the Cool Comal Cottage. The balcony was perfect for morning coffee and it was really nice having two bathrooms for my girlfriend trip! The kitchen was well equipped which made cooking easy. Wurstfest was a quick walk down the street. Parking was great under the condo because we had a little weather. We did not get to try out the pool and hot tub but it looked wonderful! Can't wait to come back in the summer and do some tubing! Thanks so much Reed!
