It was a in a great location. Close to a supermarket, many restaurants and spas. We found it a very relaxing place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the property is very well maintained. Staff can help with bookings and information. Breakfasts were especially good at the adjoining cafe and they also made the best coffee we had on our holiday in Bali. The pool area is such a lovely place to relax. It is more of a boutique style hotel rather than a large resort. Beds are super comfortable. There is a dive shop attached to the hotel also.
There was some band noise in the evenings from a bar close by.

For the price, Akaya was a nice small hotel. The staff were friendly. The pool was clean and the location was great. A good amount of storage and good aircon. The location is excellent, so close to the beach and good restaurants.
The bed was extremely unconformable. The hot water took a good 3 minutes. My room was tired with marks and stains. The breakfast was okay but very average compared to the actual cafe menu. I also got the room next to the staff/cleaners room. It was noisy and I had workers walking past my room constantly - so it did not feel private and had to keep my blinds closed at all times.
