This is a nice and comfortable accomodation perfectly located close to the cliffs. The rooms are nice, the atmosphere is great, the food delicious, the wifi perfect.
When we arrived we could not really understand who will take care of us. The owner was away and we were in the hands of a very nice local guy who really took care of us. But, I expected to be informed about this beforehand. On the other hand, there was no problem with the payment or with anything that we needed.

Absolutely loved Gente d'Aqui - the location, views and sounds of the ocean waves, the garden, the surroundings - all immaculate. The owner is incredible - he's personable, caring and attentive. I really enjoyed the community surrounding the Gente d'Aqui, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and you're warmly encouraged to participate in activities with them. This place in a gem and was the highlight of my trip.

Great location to explore the island, and wonderful location to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. It worked really well for our family of four. The host was friendly, accessible, and super nice. Breakfast was included and also very nice. It had a good community vibe and we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again.

First things first: the personnel is outstanding. So nice and helpful. José also guided us at the nearby Roça Água Izé and it was great. The view is also incredible, as the guesthouse is on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Breakfast prepared by the staff was really good!
I understand that the lack of electricity is something the guesthouse cannot control. However, we basically were the whole time without electricity except between 23h-7h, meaning no fan in the very hot rooms and no water in our bathroom, hot or cold. The guesthouse needs to have at least a generator or small battery, because our stay was just plain uncomfortable. Beds are also quite small, so tall people beware.
