Horribly noisy. Too noisy to sleep from bars / nightclubs. Managers and owners are the worst people

Couldn’t say as the down sides were so great.

This hotel provided the worst hotel experience i ever had. I booked for 4 nights - unrefundable through booking.com. I arrived at about midnight and was shown to my room. The hotel has bars in very close proximity, that play extremely loud music until around 3am. The music was so loud that my bed shook and even if I put noise cancelling headphones on I could hear the booming music through everything. I don’t think anyone can sleep through that. The following morning I waited for the manager to arrive so I could find a solution to this big problem. I could not spend another sleepless night there. The couple infront of me at the reception were complaining about the same noise issue. I am not sure, but I think they might have been move to a room where it wasn’t flamed by the bars. By the time I got to speak to the manager he told me that they were fully booked and I could not be moved to a different room. I told him I couldn’t have another night like the previous one, so asked him for a refund. He said it wasn’t possible because booking.com held the money and it wasn’t refundable for that reason. They told me to go to booking.com and ask for the refund. I called booking.com customer service and they told me that if the hotel agreed that I could get a refund for the 3 remaining nights. I was out on hold whilst the customer service agent spoke to the manager of the hotel. I was then told that the manager refused to sign off the refund. I then went to reception and asked the manager to speak with the owner to ask him to agree for the refund. I even said I would accept only 2 nights refund to give them time to find a new customer - easy in any case given that it is the weekend in Istanbul. All was refused by the owner. I had to leave and find new accommodation. I lost over 400 euros because I needed to sleep somewhere comfortable. I am sure they resold the room I had booked.

Enjoyable!

Staying there was a little like staying in some kind of historical place. It was nice. The location is perfect if You want to be in the middle of all happenings.

For those who want to have a good night rest - this is not an option, since loud music outside is every night. The breakfast could have been better!

Great breakfast and friendly staff

Great breakfast! Their restaurant has a great view over the street and a peek-a-boo look at the water. The staff was really friendly, recommended a very good restaurant nearby (with vegetarian options) and helped me navigate getting a taxi. :) Thank you for a great stay!

Superb

Very good location close to Ortakoy Mosque and ferry station. Lots of nice cafes and bars nearby. Cozy hotel with special atmosphere of old Istanbul.

It was a bit noisy during night time beacause of the bar music, but it's not a problem if you used to go to bed late and like to party.

Location and baroque style only

we had to wait 1hour plus our room to be cleaned before check in.. When we entered the room there was still spots from uncleanliness mostly in the bathroom. Drawers was full with some boxes probably from the guests before us and not to mention that we had to wait for an iron 3 days..

Very good hotel in a good but noisy neighborhood.

Good location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast.

The only thing that bothered us was the loud music from the adjacent restaurants and music clubs going on till very late past midnight.

Awesome accommodations. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and extremely comfortable.

Our first room was situated on the corner of the hotel and exposed to extremely loud and unpleasant booming music until 4 am. We requested and were relocated to a room not exposed to the noisy music.

Beautiful building and kind and helpful staff!

The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was beautiful and clean, and the location was great.

The only downside of the hotel (which we otherwise loved!) was that there is a nearby club that blasted music until 2-3 on Sunday and Monday nights. The hotel called the police multiple times and were very nice about it, but they couldn't get the club to stop the music. I have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel itself and would recommend it highly if that is resolved.
