One bedroom (VRBO 1292506) is at the same location, $2900/month plus fees if going through VRBO. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This ground floor studio apartment had the traveler in mind when it was designed. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the Amtrak station, downtown, shopping, parks, movie theaters, and numerous restaurants. Located in a quiet complex, this apartment provides the perfect getaway to truly experience the SLO life, as a local in style. Equipped with a full kitchen, queen bed, full futon, and full bath, this space has it all! Private entrance, off-street parking, laundry on premises. We are located in San Luis Obispo, on the beautiful Central Coast of California, half-way between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Walk through ten short blocks of old SLO to reach downtown and the Mission. This is a two-story unit and sound can travel easily between floors; please be aware of and respectful to your neighbor on the upper floor. A fold out futon provides space for a third person. Third person charge is $15 per night. Note: This is a smoke free property, in and out. Guest agrees to $500.00 liquidated damages or smoking anywhere on the property. No pets, except service animals. Parties are not allowed under any circumstance. Distance to local hospitals in miles: French Hospital-1.1; Sierra Vista Hospital-1.7; Arroyo Grande Community Hospital-16; Twin Cities Community Hospital-24; Marion Regional Med Center-32 (distances are easy freeway miles with little traffic)

So it only took me a month to write a review for David and Jill's location. We stayed in the upstairs unit for a 3 day getaway from Los Angeles. The place was small....which made it perfect! Nothing was missing or needed and after a long drive in from LA (there's always traffic) it was great to walk in and see a bottle of wine waiting for me. Parking was easy. We brought our bikes and toured SLO, went to a winery, took a short scenic drive to Morro Bay for a day of riding and eating, and went to the mission. I was worried about finding things to do in a small town but we actually ran out of time. It was also great to walk the neighborhood and ask for local recommendations for dinner and things to do. David and Jill were very gracious and texting during our stay to make sure all was well. We had to leave early so I didn't get a chance to meet them in person but we spoke/emailed enough beforehand that I felt comfortable renting from them. The downside that everything was new....was that we couldn't get the tv to work. The upside to not being able to get the tv to work was that we were more active and had great conversations instead of just sitting in front of the tv. ;-) I would recommend this place anytime. thank you!

David and Jill made our stay absolutely wonderful! They were incredibly accommodating and the property was exceptionally well maintained. The unit is upgraded, cozy and the perfect home for our weekend stay. The location is close to downtown and easy access to the wineries/freeways. I will definitely be staying here again upon my return to SLO!

I highly recommend staying in one of these owner's places. Jill and David offer everything you would need in a home away from home. There is a w/d onsite, the kitchen is fully furnished and the sleep area is very comfortable. Their units are new and very clean. I will be returning and plan to stay in their unit again. Also great location and safe area. We kept the windows open during our entire stay. Parking is great, being right outside the unit. I did meet David and he's definitely someone you would want to rent from. Highly recommend!

We were hesitant to book this rental because of the lack of reviews but we we SO GLAD we did. The property is very well maintained and nicely upgraded throughout. David and Jill take a lot of pride in the quality of the 3 rentals on the property and we would love to stay at any of them when we return to SLO. We stayed in the upstairs back unit which has a highly upgraded kitchen with granite counters, new cabinets, stainless steel appliances and a cozy open floor plan. The location is fantastic. You're minutes to downtown while walking or biking. The owners are very good people who showed nothing but kindness, respect and true hospitality. We're looking forward to visiting again soon. There wasn't one thing that would shy us away from staying here again.

We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay in David and Jills 1 bedroom home in San Luis Obispo. The pictures dont do it justice nor relect some of the additional updates they have done. It was sprinkled with personal touches, delicious wine, and local bites. It is located just blocks away from downtown and an easy 5 minutes drive to a ton of adorable wineries. Jill even delivered us a couple things we forgot at home and David was easily reachable all weekend. All in all, I cant wait to return to SLO and stay at David and Jills again.
