The room was excellent, with absolutely no complaints.
The bathroom was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities.
The bed was very comfortable.
The buffet was something truly exceptional (dinner)
WORLD-CLASS STAFF — both at the reception and in the restaurant. The service was truly outstanding.
The iron was heavily affected by limescale, which unfortunately affected its steam function. Limescale was coming out of the iron, which is something that should definitely be addressed.
However, this does not affect my overall rating, as everything else was excellent.

Location
The noise! We were not warned that there would be building works going on until 6pm. In addition to this the rooms opposite ours flooded and for several hours there was the noise of the machines clearing up and consequently our room was not cleaned. I appreciate that the flood was not the hotel’s fault but I DO think we should have been offered a quieter room. I have stayed in Double Tree venues before but I was disappointed on this occasion.
