Lovely location (inside and out). Service was top notch, always someone around to help, always friendly and professional. The room was lovely, spacious and had all the features we needed. The American Bar is a must (great food, great cocktails, wonderful history). We had breakfast in our room (Eggs Benedict) which rounded off a lovely stay perfectly.
Very small point (which may have been caused by my bank rather than the hotel system) The pre-authorisation payment caused some issues on check out (duplicate payments showing on my account for a few days before it sorted itself out).

The location
I talked to the manager about my concerns and disappointment. Hopefully he addresses the shortcomings with the staff and significant improvement is made.
