Lovely location right opposite Pittville Park and easy access into the town.
Stayed overnight for our anniversary and a card with an invitation for complimentary Prosecco was waiting on the bed.
Shortbread & Port in the room were extra treats too.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the Dyson fans were very welcome.
The toiletries in the bathroom were gorgeous.
The water temperature fluctuated a little whilst showering but nothing horrendous.

Charm, location, nice staff, good restaurant.
No AC during the heat wave made the upper rooms super hot but that was the case with many hotels.

The chef/dinner was fantastic and menu changes accomodated. Had a great steak with pommes Anna my partner had seen the chef preparing at lunch time and requested instead of the chips. Bed was also huge and sheets nice.
For a £280 a night stay and choosing the 'excellent room (room 14)' at a supposed 4 star rated hotel, this was unfortunately below expectation in many ways and especially disappointing for a stay on a special birthday weekend for my partner.
Issues with room included:-
- broken spotlight/light out above bath
- very poor ventilation and no bathroom extractor fan
- linen storage outside our room
- room door didn't fit the frame so hallway light comes into bedroom at night
- curtains also poorly fitted so also have street light coming into the room at night
- shower water leaks over shower threshold in bathroom.
- Rain shower head has limescale and blocked holes affecting the angle of water spray
- I had to take some dirt out of the shower (luckily before my partner saw it) and the shower wall was also cracked
- no bedroom bin/wastebasket
- no facial tissues in room/bathroom
- coffee station is in wardrobe and both inaccessible consequently. Trying to fill up water in coffee machine was a task I gave up on due to how is wired in and sits between two shelves.
- ordered a breakfast in bed, which was good, but there was no butter for the toast. Had to call reception and request this and there was no acknowledgement of the oversight (or now cold toast)
- Cocktails with dinner were not very good but not surprised given bar staff, reception and waiters were the same two members of staff fulfilling the multiple roles.
An underwhelming stay all around unfortunately. I think this hotel is hiding behind heritage or shabby chic and needs to be brought up to standard or downgraded.
