Location was great and the communal area was lovely. Nice to have a balcony and with a great view.
Hotel lets itself by poor housekeeping, which could be easily rectified. We would have appreciated for someone to come in each day to provide refreshed drinking glasses, coffee cups, capsules and on. Beds were not made up and bathroom not cleaned. Bed and pillows could have been more comfortable.

The location was excellent as we could walk to all of the sights available in Sintra, although the 49 minute walk to the fortress was admittedly skipped. The hotel staff was accommodating, informed and cheerful. They were helpful in so many ways. The breakfast was a wonderful plus as it provided us with some fortitude for our walk to some of the sights--remember Sintra in mountainous. Great views of the city and some of the sights can be had from the hotel and it's one of the few that you can actually park in. Getting to the hotel with its narrow streets and restricted access is another matter.
The hotel itself needs a real cosmetic update. All the doors, walls, furnishings, etc look tired and dated. Some serious money should be spent on it to make it an incredible experience rather than just a so-so one. It's a shame what is paid for hotels these days and what you are actually getting. Since when has it become acceptable to have a supposed 4 star hotel look tired and rough around the edges where the carpet should be replaced and the walls painted and the furniture updated?! It's sad how much money has to be spent to get something truly memorable.

Location is really good.
View from my room is also good, but not from my kids' room.
Breakfast is medium. Due to high hotel occupation, sometimes it was missing some items.
Rooms are out dated. It needs to be outfitted.
Hotel access is not really easy. Ubers had difficult to access the hotel.
Staff is very nice and polite.
