The staff was very kind and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and most of all, it was in the center of the historic district.
Driving and parking was a meltdown nightmare. Lots of one way streets that Waze and Apple Maps don’t recognize as one way Some are one way while traffic progresses, then traffic in the opposite direction takes over. There are also steel poles that rise up out of the ground to prevent you from passing and you must “have authorization” to make them receded so you can pass. Waze does not recognize these barriers either. It was not until we checked out that the staff said most guest hie a car to deliver them and do not drive. Good luck finding a parking spot either. My recommendation….DO NOT drive in Sintra.

Great location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfast in the adjoining cafe.
Parking isn't easy, although staff were helpful and let us park overnight in a 15min bay outside.

We enjoyed everything related to SBH. From our first interactions with the staff prior to arrival, and throughout our stay, the level of service from all staff was exemplary. The location is excellent and offers an array of shopping, dining, and transport options to the many sites.
There is nothing to not like here.

Very helpful staff. Good breakfast (except the espresso).
No plugs at bed for charging phone. No available plugs in the room at all. Inexcusable in 2026. Very poor internet. Espresso at breakfast was the worst I’ve had in Europe in years.
