I chose the Hilton because I was dropping my student son off and, although it was inevitably busy, the location was perfect for what I needed to do. The room, a compact double, was comfortable and remarkably quiet with a decent shower, and although it took me a while to get parked in the Trinity parking lot, it was close by, a reasonable cost with the discount, and a surprising number of cars were left overnight. Breakfast was a higher standard than I expected - superior to a Marriott I stayed in recently.
As I was weary, I wanted to eat in the restaurant, but the miserable barman was clueless and even though it wasn't busy the table we sat at after other diners left was only partially cleared whilst we waited some time to order. So, when my son suggested we go elsewhere, I didn't finish my warm glass of £12 wine and we left. There were plenty of other restaurants to choose from (and I got the cold wine I was in desperate need of).

Rotimi checked us in and he was great - we were offered a glass of Prosecco upon arrival. I had inadvertently booked a double bed, when actually needed two singles. Rotimi worked his magic to sort that out for us - and whilst the room was quite small, it had everything in it that we needed. Didn't use the bar. restaurant or pool though (ran out of time)
Nothing really to dislike - it's a Hilton and it comes with a standard expectation
