This was probably the nicest hotel we stayed at during our whole trip. The hotel is clean, well maintained and pleasantly decorated. Our room was spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished, with a very comfortable bed and even a balcony, which was a lovely bonus. The area is quiet and peaceful, and despite being away from central Berlin, getting into the city centre by metro was easy and convenient. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety of tasty options. In fact, this 3-star hotel was better than some 4-star hotels we have stayed in. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly come back.
The only downside for us was the location. The hotel is quite far from central Berlin, so we had to use the metro to get into the city. However, the area itself was quiet and pleasant, and the metro made getting around fairly easy, so this was not a major issue for us.

The water pressure in the shower was excellent. It was decent value for money. The reception handled the overbooking error well by granting me free access to their parking garage and a complementary breakfast.
When I arrived I was informed that there was a double booking for my room and that I was being downgraded from a comfort single room (which was renovated according to the images on booking) to a standard single room which had clearly not been renovated in decades. The room was poorly insulated and never heated up despite the heating being on full blast the entire time I was there. The breakfast, while complementary, was pretty mediocre.
