Friendly staff. Ideal place for over night stop over.
White table cloths and waiter service during meals.
Clean, basic rooms adequate for an over nighter.
Didn't like bedrooms were separate from main building had to go outdoors going to and from reception, dining room and bar.

Overall a good stay. Very friendly staff. Lovely evening meal.
Building was a little dated, but in a nice kind of way.
Parking not great, and I could hear a noise from next door that was keeping me awake for a while as walls seem quiet thin.

The location - central Newtonmore - is good. The Highlander Hotel building looks very stylish, modern and attractive from the outside.
On the inside, the hotel needs a thorough refurb. The rooms are rather basic and unattractive. They need modernising. If you are unfortunate enough to be allocated a room facing the main road, it is VERY noisy, even with the windows shut. There is no double glazing. The floorboards are extremely creaky; the person in the room above mine appeared to be keen to get his/her 10,000 steps in because the floorboards above my room creaked for much of the night. Hence, sleep eluded me.
