Despite concerns that this hotel is owned by the Strathmore Group who also own the terrible Ben Wyvis hotel in Strathpeffer, this hotel was fantastic for the price. Large comfy rooms, clean, excellent bar and an outstanding dinner menu. The food was the best on our trip to date. Staff were very friendly

Breakfast - all in all the selection of food items was varied and well presented
Room - The garden view was pleasant enough
Dinner- extensive menu gave a wide variety of choice
Breakfast - a self service buffet was provided which meant that if you didn't serve yourself immediately then some of the food was lukewarm.
Room - it was described as a superior double room with a garden view, in my opinion the term "superior" was stretching it a bit. The TV didn't work properly. The pull switch in the bath room which was used to operate the extractor fan was unreachable to anyone under 6ft tall. No shower gel was provided. The wash hand was so small as to be almost unusable The room needed a good clean.
Dinner - some of the food was overcooked eg the lemon sole goujons , scampi
