The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of Oxford city centre. The room was spotless and really well equipped. Breakfast was first class. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Overall an excellent stay.

Wonderful staff went above and beyond to help us; they all made our stay so comfortable and easy. Such a nice start to our visit to have housemade honeycomb and meringue treats at check-in! Our room was so beautiful, right on the front corner of the building looking out at the horse pastures. Parking was easy, breakfast was delicious, location is very walkable to city center but also quiet. The pool was the cleanest I've ever seen at any hotel. Our daughter loved that there was a playground across the street. I appreciated the air conditioning during the heat wave. We're already looking forward to our next stay at Oxford Spires and I can't recommend it enough!
Laundry service is not offered on weekends, but thankfully there is a launderette in town. The shower in our room was confusing to operate.

Location to Oxford city centre.
Room was a little tired even though it smelled of paint (or could have been interpreted as musty?). The room and bathroom were large but lacked an overall feel although it was billed as historic. The price could have been considered acceptable if the room had been up to scratch, but as it was it was overpriced and not helped by a £25 overnight parking charge.
