Perfect location staying in Edinburgh. This beautiful old Hotel was a perfect experience of Scotland. The luxury of the room, the bedding and facilities just added to the experience.
What it is not a negative the Hotel does have a process of having to hand in your keys when you leave the hotel and collect them again when you’re coming back for your room. This is probably just more of a heads up to be patient with the staff as you may have to wait for them to finish with someone else before you can make sure that your key is handed in securely..

The staff were all very helpful and the bed was comfortable. The dinner I attended during my stay was excellent in terms of both food and service.
The first room I was shown only had one small, high, sealed window and was claustrophobic to the point of being unacceptable. I was moved to a slightly better room which at least had a window I could open, but with an exciting view of multiple A/C units! At more than £200 per night I expected much better.
