We stayed in one of the hotels townhouse suites as we were a family of 4 with two grown up children who need their own space. 52b which had 2 double bedroom rooms and one king suite as well as large kitchen/diner/ lounge and it was fabulous! beautifully styled. clean and comfortable. also a very convenient location opposite the hotel. Malmesbury is a pretty little medival town with some lovely shops and eateries.
Food and drinks at the hotel were very decent. We enjoyed everything we ate and drank.
The staff are amazing nothing was too much trouble. They work hard and are busy but are so helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately due to the storm the WIFI didn't work in the townhouse. The staff we were helpful and tried to get it to work but they couldn't ( it was out of their control) so they gave us a small refund which was very suitable.

It's a beautiful hotel with a really nicely decorated interior to match. Super breakfast. Central in Malmesbury next to the stunning abbey. We enjoyed drinks in the front garden during the evenings watching the world go by. We had a very comfortable, pretty room overlooking the road.
Nothing! Was hesitant to open the windows in the ivy because of spiders...but the ivy looks fab!

An attractive hotel with many quirky features. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was good, apart from breakfast on our second day (more below). Our room was large and comfortable and breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and all hot dishes cooked freshly to order.
Unfortunately, the hotel wasn't up to its 4-star rating. When we arrived, there was an unpleasant smell of chemicals that pervaded the whole hotel, including the public spaces and our room and we had to open the windows all evening before it dissipated. The hotel fabric is a little careworn and the stair carpet was threadbare in places, very nearly creating tripping hazards.
On our second morning, the breakfast waitress brought us our tea and then disappeared, leaving us waiting to place our orders. After a considerable wait, my wife found her talking to her friend around the corner.
The restaurant's dinner menu was extremely ordinary and unimaginative, so we ate elsewhere. Luckily there are several places to choose from in and around Malmesbury.
