Great hotel with lovely staff

Lovely stay room was perfect with a lovely view of the pond and surrounding area. Caroline at reception was amazing going above and beyond to help us a credit to the company.

Great location but shocking dining experience

The entrance arriving at the hotel was nice, the entrance in the hotel was nice and the receptionists upon arrival were welcoming. It was in a great location.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter and her partner to have a night away. This is the first bad review I have given and we have all stayed in many locations. My daughter said "It's such a shame as it has great potential" please see the good points as this was their expectation for the entire trip after a really good start when first getting to the hotel. After this it all went downhill. The hotel needs to hire more/new cleaning staff. It wasn't clean, cobwebs around, the food looked like it had food/drink splattered against the wall. It wasn't good. The food at the hotel was shockingly bad. Microwaved meals really. The spaghetti Bolognese made my daughter sick. The waiter who brought the food came back in a matter of seconds to ask how it was. My daughter hadn't had time to try it yet and her partner had just put a fork full in him mouth and so couldn't answer. Although trying to eat some to not offend, they left most of it. The waiter asked if they enjoyed their meal which they said they didn't but didn't want to complain. Upon paying, the gentleman was rude saying "I'll deal with you 2 in a minute" he rudely said "so what was wrong with your food then" which they tried to explain but he went off to get the manager. This made my daughter and her partner feel embarrassed as they didn't want to complain, they wanted to just pay and leave. The manager, Paula Norton, came over and was extremely rude to the 2 of them. They tried to explain when they first got their meals the waiter asked how it was but they had not really had a chance to try it. She practically called them liars saying "Pablo doesn't do that". Her attitude was appalling! The breakfast was not good either. Although the bed was comfy, we believe it may have had bed bugs as they have both come home with many bites on their back and legs. They need the plumbing looking at too.

It was OK for the night, but I expected more. Dated

The lady on reception when checking out on 26/5 at around 1020am was lovely polite and friendly. Location is perfect

I expected more. We had a room at the back with a bad view but rooms at the front were free. Could have requested so not a big issue. The bed and sofa bed was very uncomfy, the room was clean but dates. It needed a lick of paint as various marks and drips on the walls. The chairs sofa and bed base was also heavily stained. The curtains were the biggest downfall, they are too small for the windows even when closed fully on a spring night and morning, with a 3 yr old as well, it was horrid. It was still shining through them at 940pm and at 520 it was shining through , just pay for wider curtains or blinds . Also having to pay for a hot choc for brekky... shocking lol

Food and hospitality from restaurant staff were great.

No communication between staff. In our original room the door card didnt work, once we were in the toilet didn't flush and the shower tap leaked. Infomed reception and the receptionist offered to move us into another room. We asked if we could sort that out after we had been to dinner. That was no problem. Nice lady helped us alot. We returned but a different receptionist was on shift so explained what the other receptionist said to us. He said we will get maintenance to look to sort it out first if not we will move you tomorrow. By this time it was 8pm, so I thought no one is going to come and sort it out at this time. So we waited in the room, next thing we know the lady from reception brought us a key card for another room and apologised. We moved rooms and the next day we have a knock on the door from one of the employees and basically just said who are you? As the room was empty for the week. Not the best way to start off and conversation to guest. Like we had snuck in or something. No one had notified or wrote down that we had moved into a different room. Great way to start the holiday off. Rooms obviously not maintained, from broken decorations, dust, outdated rooms, stains on bedding no bath matt or extra pillows in our second room that we were moved to.

Not enough information on other facilities on the park. Overpriced bar. Toilet flush needs attention.

Good budget hotel.

The view from our room was very nice, overlooking the well kept garden. The size of the room good and I liked the fact had sofa to relax . The staff were all nice. The room was (clean). The breakfast was good, and hot. With a good basic choice. Very clean bedding and towels.

Thin walls, you could even hear people just talking in the next room. Marked future and walls. Curtains that don't quite meet.

Nice buffet breakfast - bonus it was served until 11am. Staff were lovely and helpful. No complaints from me or the children about the food or service

We liked the location.

Our toilet is not flushing properly even with toilet tissue. We reported to the reception but still no action. Only reply will looked at it.

We'll definitely be back!

From checking in to checking out everything was great! The staff were all really friendly and helpful, we had dinner in the restaurant and buffet breakfast in the morning which were both really nice.

Nothing, everything was perfect for us!

Good value accommodation for a holiday in Skegness

Breakfasts are very good with large range of fruit and cooked food and comfortable seating in courtyard restaurant. Rooms are good with excellent storage space for clothes.

It seems a pity that the only coffee available at breakfast doesn't match the quality of the food - there is space for a coffee machine next to the hot water urn!

The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was a choice of fresh fruit, cereal or English breakfast and . Staff were lovely and helpful

restaurant closed, why? I book hotels so I can eat where I’m staying, having to order a take out is a disgrace, there was no information the restaurant was closed when I booked 2 hours before I checked in. my room was dirty and dated. I live in hotels 3/4 days a week, this is a really poor one, I’d not stay here again
