To be honest, when I set off from home, I was not really expecting such a good experience, given that I had only paid for a 1-night stay. Especially as I had previous bookings in Blackpool B&Bs. I was very surprised upon arrival and realised The Saxby Hotel is of a far far superior class to any bog-standard Blackpool Bed and breakfast, worlds apart.
The location of the hotel is very handy for the attraction but not too close. I was politely greeted upon arrival by Wendy, who spoke to me on a first-name basis, which was friendly.
Having mobility issues myself, Wendy had previously mentioned that they would help with my luggage. I was not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble, and it appeared to be the same high standard for every guest. The room was well furnished, clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. I slept there better than I usually do at home.
Breakfast was incredible and certainly plentiful; the English breakfast was also very well prepared, cooked and presented. I am extremely happy with the whole service and experience I received; I felt somehow this was far greater than I could expect from any of the top branded named hotels.
There was nothing to dislike. I could not find any fault.
